This is not a beat backing Anita, this is live instruments(drums, heavy on the piano, keyboards, etc). This is real R&B with a jazz influence. I can't wait to see her in Vegas this year! Alot of us grew up on our parents playing Anita. It was time to clean the house when she was playing. Now, we've become fans. Anita is classic, a true vocalist!!

When this album dropped in the eighties I didn't listen to this type of music at all. By that time I was completely immersed in alternative and indie and never listened to top 40 much less any R&B ever. It took only once for a friend of mine to play this for me and I knew I was listening to a once in a lifetime artist and one of the greatest albums ever. This album broke through all my preconceived notions and attitudes of soul/r&b and made me a believer.
