I had a similar situation several years back. Me and another guy were on the road working and staying in a hotel not far from the work sight. We got back after work and there was an older fella out. We started talking and he knew people from where we came from. We had a great week swapping stories after work. Didn’t get a million, but I’ll never forget it.

True story, I went to the ER with my friend and his wife because he needed stitches after he cut his hand..I went out back and sat down on a bench with an old black man and we struck up a conversation..He had been with Gen. Patton all over north Africa and was extremely proud of his military service..I shook his hand and thanked him when I had to leave..My friends wife said you probably made his day and I said no, he made mine….Don’t ever miss those opportunities .
