As someone once said.. “The Internet is the best and worst thing humanity has every created.” For example, the parents of this generation don’t understand why their kids are so absorbed in their devices because they didn’t grow up with that so therefore they don’t know how to help. They try to use the things that their parents taught them, but it doesn’t work because it’s not the same thing, it’s a completely different issue. Which leads to conflict and parents guilt tripping their kids and pointing out they’re addicted to their devices and making them feel like they’re the only people in the world with this issue. We are the very first generation with the particular problem and are the first of many more to come. *And that personally scares me.*

@@citizen_grub4171 Yeah, the problem with the internet, is the exact same thing that makes it so incredible. There's just so damn much, there's no way to moderate it, no way to stop the parts that are awful (grooming, for example). The thing is, this is the same thing that makes it amazing, you can find absolutely everything on it. I guarantee you this will be a problem for as long as it exists.

"Apathy's a tragedy , and boredom is a crime." Because if you are either of those two things, you don't need the internet... and also, the business model and algorithms are now specifically designed to keep you unapathetic and entertained, all of the time. Oh that reminds me... gotta that like button. 😉

Bo is amazing. He is the youngest comedian to ever have a solo stand up special on comedy central (19). He preformed live until he was 25 in which he was have panic attacks and anxiety. "Kayne Rant" was his last song before he walked off stage and out of the spotlight for 5years. Until, he came out with "Welcome to the Internet", as well as a few others, and "Inside"(Netflix special) last year. "Art is Dead", "God's Perspective", "Repeat stuff", "Words Words Words" are all older. You have a lot of videos you could make with Bo Burnham's work. I'm here for it.

Bo started on KZbin when he was like, 16, I think. My daughter is a millennial, and has been watching him since back in the day. It’s interesting to see how he has grown. He turned 30 while filming this. You should explore his work. I truly believe that time will show him as the voice of the millennial generation.

I like the musicality as well at the end & when he laughs and the pace of the music picks up to it's fastest , the sound is almost cartoonist which compared to real life on the internet. It's almost as if it's like a cartoon fantasy wise. A picture drawn to make up a fake reality somewhat

The reason the music sped up and got more ‘wacky’ is because this song is from the perspective of a snake oil salesman. He draws you in with a quirky, fun tune and tells you about this ‘cool new thing!’ (The Internet) to draw you in and as you’re more drawn in, he throws in weird things about it slowly almost so you don’t realize it until he’s _only_ saying the weird and awful things you’ll find on the Internet and before you realize he’s done that, he stops and slows it down, and draws you back in again by telling you that YOU are what the Internet needs. The Internet can’t exist without you! And by then, hypothetically you’re already hooked. That’s when the evil laugh comes out because he knows he’s got you. He’s so brilliant.

One thing to note when he slows it own and talks about the internet in the late 90s - it mirrors not just the difference in content, but also the difference in speed. Dial-up was the primary option, websites took longer to load, KZbin didn't exist, it took hours to download a 30 second video clip. Meanwhile, the beginning of the song was just a never ending barrage of content, which is much more similar to how it feels to be on the internet, now.

As a big fan of your movie reactions, I very much enjoyed this reaction. I remember when I first heard this song, I was genuinely terrified because of how true it is. Perhaps one day you guys would consider doing a reaction to his one of his first comedy performance specials called "What?". However even just individual songs are good and Repeat stuff w/ music video always makes for a great reaction. Anyways keep up the quality content.

I have followed you two for a few years as a Norwegian (though I subbed you right now in real-time). Your fellow Bo across the pond - oh you know him well. To the point that this white dude in Norway can predict that Bo Burnham will make you tear up with laughter (he will parody you doing reaction videos) and with emotions (he will ponder the pressure of being entertaining while trying to share something of himself- also on stage). I know you as a job are "reactors" - so you can never see a comedy special - like you can never experience a full album because your job is to comment on a scene in a movie (or an episode of a series or a snippet of Pink Floyd's "The Wall" - you can never experience an entire piece of art as reactors. That is your job. But I hope you will watch a full show at some time in the future. Because that can be like reading a whole book from start to end - instead of responding to a paragraph in the middle as "entertainment" I know you know what I mean. All the reactors on the planet have already reacted to the end of Bo Burnam saying "I hope you are happy" in the finale of Happy.

You kinda missed the point with this one. He was saying you can find anything and everything all the time, but he didn't mean it as a good thing. He said "Apathy's a tragedy and boredom is a crime" because you're no longer allowed to be bored and sit alone in your thoughts anymore, because if you are, you'll just stare at the internet and flood your brain with all these random useless pieces of content that distract you from thinking. It was always the plan... to put the world in your hand... cue evil laughing
