Second only to ABBA as my favorite childhood music. And I still love it 50 years on ❤❤❤

One of the best songs ever. Boney M dominated the dance floor back then.

Fun fact: The melodic clicking sound in the beginning and in the middle of the song was in fact producer Frank Farian hitting his teeth with a pencil.

The 'Ma Ma Ma Ma Ma' on this song was the origin for the same on Lady Gaga's Poker Face (you'll know it when u hear it!). Daddy Cool is another wild one watching him dance, haha.

They were my favourite group when i grew up. Especially the first four albums are excellent. Check them out. (Take the heat off me, Love for sale, Nightflight to Venus and Oceans of fantasy. I still play them from time to time, almost 50 years after their release)

Great to hear these old classics, Belfast, Painter Man and Bahama Mama really bring out the ladies vocal talents.

Boney M. is a Euro-Caribbean vocal group that was formed in 1976. I had their greatest hits album. This group had a lot of great songs such as "Daddy Cool", "Belfast", "Sunny", "No Woman No Cry", "Brown Girl In The Ring", "Painter Man", "Hooray! Hooray! It's A Holi-Holiday" etc.

It's a similar project as Milli Vanilli from the same producer. Not sure, if they sang on their own. My first album ever was 20 Golden Hits from Boney M when i am right.
