He’s so amazing, I live in eastern Ky where all the flooding. Just happened, Chris Stapleton came and helped clean out homes of these poor people had had lost most everything. He didn’t send people, he showed up. So much respect for him

You gotta check out his live stuff though. Sometimes I Cry, Cold, I Was Wrong, and he even covers James Brown “This is a man’s world.” Don’t miss out boys!!!

Hi! You two crack me up! Such goofs, and I can tell how much you love music!! Another little bit of trivia … Chris suffered from very severe stage fright. His wife convinced him to sing his own songs. He agreed, but he needed to be able to look at her if the fright was getting close so he could continue. He looks in her eyes and finds his peace. Love from Vermont, Mama Bee

"Country Blues" is an excellent description of Chris Stapleton's style. The backup singer on this is Morgane Stapleton (Wife). Chris Stapleton- "Cold" 2021 CMA Awards. Chris Sapleton & Justin Timberlake "Tennessee Whiskey / Drink You Away" 2015 CMA Awards is one of the finest live awards shows performances in history in my opinion. Treat the two songs as one though. PS This isn't a rabbit hole, it's the Grand Canyon.

This guy has his own genre. They put him in the country category but he leans more heavily towards blues and really (imo) doesn’t fit into any box. He’s in a class and category of his own. Just amazing soul and a set of pipes unlike anyone else. He’s also an amazing guitarist and songwriter. Cannot say enough in praise of this man. His wife, Morgane, sings backup vocals with him and they are fun to watch on stage because of the way they gaze lovingly at each other. Nice reaction. You can never go wrong with Chris. Good luck with your channel 🌺✌️

I totally agree!!!!! My husband and I have had this debate. Is an artist classified by what they are playing or by their fans? This song is blues, pure and simple blues. If you break down the melody and time signature it’s blues.

His live performances are even better! His wife, Morgane, sings harmony on stage with him. You need to hear Chris Stapleton and Justin Timberlake sing live at the CMA'S. They perform "Tennessee Whiskey and "Drink you Away"! Best CMA performance EVER! They are also really great together on the official video for "Say Something" and they do the video in ONE take!! Chris has an official video for his song " Fire Away" that will tear your heart out. Other amazing Chris Stapleton songs are "Cold" and "Sometimes I Cry". He also does "It's a Man's World" and Morgane takes the lead on "You Are My Sunshine". That's a few for you start with! Guaranteed to amaze you! You should compare it to George Jones classic rendition, just for academic reasons. It is true old country, but also the foundation. I do love Stapleton’s version, and think he brings more of a blues presentation. But George lived the bottle life.
