I love how his voice evolves the whole song. Goes from deep and smooth to that powerful voice at the end. What great range he has.

Hey guys, David draiman has an incredible/unique/powerful voice. This isn't typical of disturbed, songs like prayer, inside the fire (brutal/graphic video), indestructible, stricken, down with the sickness are 🎶🎸🔥🎶🎸🔥 A reason to fight is one of my favorites, awesome song/music/message Your baby girl is so gorgeous 💖💖💖💖💖💖

I get her "scary" comment. David's voice brings a darkness, an angst even at in those smooth, low beginning phrases. That's one of the things that makes this version the absolute best, imo. Never watched you guys before. That little one is precious. Thank you for sharing her with your audience.

This is my favorite version of this song, though props must be given to Paul Simon for the poetic, prophetic lyrics that are just as relevant today as they were when written nearly 60 years ago. May I say also, I think your baby is the prettiest baby I have ever seen. I never had kids and honestly, at that age they all kinda look alike to me 🤣 Not yours, you can already see how beautiful she will be when she's grown. I wish your family all the best❣

Your guys baby wanting to hold hands with you was the best part of this reaction ❤️. Hope you all keep getting blessed.

OMG, the tissues I've 🤧 gone through since I discovered David Draiman and Disturbed performing their rendition of "The Sound of Silence" on April 29, 2024. That day I have to believe my spirit 🙏 guides (out of the blue) first led me to a cover video by Dan Vasc singing "Amazing Grace" which was phenomenal 👏 and then to the cover video of Disturbed and David Draiman singing this most POWERFUL, EMOTIONAL 😂rendition of Simon and Garfunkels "The Sound of Silence". I'm 75 and was 15 when they released one of the most popular classic songs of our time during the 60's. It is amazing how relevant it is today. Actually I feel it is even more relevant than ever in so many different ways. I've spent days since listening and seeing, you notice I didn't say viewing, the many channel hosts and each of their reactions and have 😢 almost every time. It's funny that more males have shown more emotion an gotten teary-eyed than the females, just an observation. Thanks from Diane

Paul Simon wrote this song in 1964 just months after the JFK assassination. It was first recorded in 1965 and the song that launched the careers of Simon and Garfunkel. Those were heady times and turmoil as the Vietnam War began to ramp up.

You're right sometimes you've got to be still. Appreciating someone's voice, like the way Adelle sings. Simon and Garfunkel sing like duo it's soft and beautiful. It's one of those listening songs.

The best cover of this song that I personally feel was made. Never thought that it would sound so good with a Rock voice. The grit in his voice just adds to intensity and meaning of this song. At the time this song first came out it was hard to imagine that the true meaning of the lyrics would be the reality of the world we currently live in.

theres already enough music for 10 lifetimes out there. some claim the bar has been dropped in music because everythings already been done at one time or another so you end up with things like mumble rap today.once you step outside your box and start surfing around to whats out there youll find alot of really cool stuff from different of eras and genras.and as you get older youll find you like alot of stuff you never thought you would.i know alot of music i didnt care for as a kid but as i got older i realized how brilliant some of it is.this song was origionally from 52 years ago.

Peep those lyrics to. They transcend time. People bowing to the neon god they made (cell phone), people talking without listening, it disturbers the sound of silence. The sound of silence is thinking, the neon god we worship is disturbing our thinking. When Simon and Garfunkel wrote this they were talking about television, now it has even more meaning.
