“Like AC is down with OJ”. Is a reference to “A.C.Cowlings”. OJ Simpson’s best friend who was with him in the white Ford Bronco when The Juice was being chase by the cops.

This was 1994. Murder was the case soundtrack. Iconic soundtrack. This was Dre snd cube first song together since ice cube left nwa. This song was suppose to be on Dre and cubes album helter skelter but they never finished the album. Original version had cube on the chorus Dre on the beat along with sam sneed and j fkexx who wrote Dre verse for this. Another thing is Dre first verse was based off the menendez murders here in la in the late 80s I think that’s why the faces are blurred and the last verse with the white bronco is as well u kno suppose to be them murdering Nicole Simpson and Ron Goldman before OG got there. Tupac cameo at the end cus he was coo with the director Gary grey who later also did the nwa movie. Also this video won video of the year at the infamous source awards in 1995. Death row and L.A. was running the rap game by this point. Dre did actually write some of his lyrics but J flexx wrote his verse for this one and Sam sneed was on the other verse. One last thing. Cube said I’m down with Dre like AC (Al cowlings) (who played with OJ on the buffalo bills and was driving the white bronco while OJ was in the backseat with a gun to his head) is down with OJ.

Too many interruptions and you seem like you drunk. Anyway, here's the breakdown: MTV banned this video from airplay in the 90's because they thought the lyrics, imagery and fire were too "menacing" & "disturbing", they also had a problem with the video insinuating that Dre & Cube killed Nicole Brown Simpson & Ron Goldman and then a white man pulled up in a white ford bronco (Just Like OJ's) and mainpulated evidence (The glove) to make OJ seem guilty. Like OJ Simpson was "framed". OJ was found not guilty, but, that was politics, not justice. OJ 100% killed them. They didn't want a repeat of the Rodney King riots. I am a hip hop historian. Ask me anything. Also, this short film was directed by F. Gary Gray who went on to direct "Friday", "Men In Black: International", "The Italian Job", "Set It Off", "The Fate of the Furious" and several very influential music videos for Outkast, Cypress Hill, Ice Cube & TLC. This song was also supposed to be on the soundtrack to Oliver Stones 1994 film "Natural Born Killers", but again, Stone thought it too controversial at the time, as the OJ verdict had not yet been handed down. Dr Dre and Ice Cube were given a pre-screening of the film and wrote this right afterwards for a scrapped album titled "Helter Skelter" (The Helter Skelter scenario is an apocalyptic vision that was supposedly embraced by Charles Manson and members of his so-called Family). However, a Dr. Dre song from The Chronic ("The Day The Niggas Took Over") & a song from Tha Dogg Pounds 1st LP ("What Would You Do"), WERE included in Stones original cut of the film "Natural Born Killers". (Written by Tarantino but then disavowed by him because he felt like Oliver Stone "destroyed" his script), it went on to become a cult classic and is regarded, by most anyone other than Tarantino, to be a masterpiece pulp, cult film. Also, did ya catch that 2Pac sniper cameo? Did ya see dad from "Good Times" and "Coming to America". OK. I'm Done.
