@Kurtis B. understandable if your not too deep into the metal genre. They’re band is quite a diverse band which does metalcore/edm usually and they vary mainly between those two genres. There’s a term for it called crapcore but despite the name it jsut means Edm and metalcore fusion aha. Their a really fun band and dont take themselves seriously which some metalheads hate but I love, it can get quite depressing when all of the content is about depressing shit

This is a German metal band and they are just a bunch of fucking hilarious guys. It mixes the funny old school German techno style with metal, EDM and some 80s shit. Best song of the year, brilliant! Listening to the older stuff from them you will notice they did more heavy metal and harder rock in a kind of Linkin Park style. Amazing stuff. Make sure to watch MC Thunder, another hilarious video and song. (featuring a well known German Let's Player, which is also part of the dancing group at the end of Hypa Hypa)

This is metalcore (mix of heavy metal and hardcore punk) just so you know for future reference. Metalcore doesn't generally sound like this, but this song has a lot of influence from 80s pop and electronic-core (metalcore with synths/dubstep). Metalcore is a pretty broad genre but I think you'll thoroughly enjoy bands like: Issues Crystal Lake The Amity Affliction August Burns Red Avenged Sevenfold Killswitch Engage Bring Me The Horizon Dayseeker Polaris Parkway Drive They'll help you dive into heavier stuff later on. It's usually not very heavy so I suggest you start with one of these bands.

Example of bands would be asking alexandria, enter shikari (the band that started it), attack attack!, dead by april, eskimo callboy (obviously), crossfaith and I see stars. Eskimo Callboy is a Band, that defines itself by not defining to a specific genre - As you could see - They have a bit of metal, sometimes rap, hip hop mixed into each other and tbh, they make it work good. Also, they just wanna create music that you can enjoy and have FUN with it - Nothing specific - That is what defines their own style. They don't take em self that serious like other artists, but I guess you could see that :D

So the main point was the introduction of their new singer Nico and they wanted to start with a fun banger. Nico is the one in the white suit, his band recently broke up a few months ago and eskimo callboy lost their main singer slushi i think his name was. So basically they made this video to celebrate having Nico in the band and to have fun. I wouldn't think too much into it, they are just having a blast and the music genre was probably closely related to electronicore aka kinda how system x was back in the early 2000s. They've been around for a while and had some more serious music in the past and probably will have some more in the future.
