They don't make them like they used to. Frank Sinatra was such a smooth crooner. This is before auto tuning. Artists had to be really able to sing. And the lyrics were clean, romantic & really meant something. He has a huge library of great songs. Some of my favorites are "My Way", "Fly Me To The Moon", "New York, New York", "Strangers In The Night", "I've Got You Under My Skin", "My Kind Of Town", "Summer Wind", "The Way You Look Tonight" etc. And he did a duet with his daughter Nancy called "Something Stupid" in 1967.

Michael Buble is a modern Frank. Dresses in suits and does this style of singing.

One of the best ever, so many great songs and performances. Try my personal favourite "Love's Been Good To Me".

This is one of my fave Sinatra songs. It’s a big“get stuffed” to all the things that can go wrong and keep on going. Got me through a few hard times! Love the whole vibe of it. Real sense of humour in it too.

Frank did a fun collaboration with Elvis that you can find on KZbin that was really cool. Frank also did a bunch of movies, most notably the original Ocean's 11 (not the one with George Clooney, but the original 1960 version), and of course you need to see Guys and Dolls (1955) with Marlon Brando, such a classic.

Sinatra is held in such high esteem by so many, mainly because he was the Real Deal. Like his pal, Judy Garland, he knew his way around a song, and could hold an audiences attention with his captivating style and raw talent. I love that you reviewed this recording of his, for it was one of the few times he shows his R & B chops. Also love that you have a sense of rhythm. I see that many suggest you react to other 'biggies' of his, yet I'll suggest either of his recordings of a beautiful, haunting song; "I'm a Fool To Want You", and "Nice and Easy", ( just listen to the stealthy way he treats the word; "relax" in the latter. Laid back Sinatra is almost as cool as Billie Holiday, As far as "New York, New York" goes, of course he's gonna be just fine on it, but he performs it very late in his career, and it is the song of a young person, wishing, longing to "Make it there!", and though Frank had the top 40 hit with it, have a look/listen to Judy Garlands daughter, Liza Minnelli kick the Hell out of it, especially. In live performance, it was written for her, and to her it belongs. I like your take on the Greats you've been 'reviewing'. This gives me hope. Keep going.

I agree, I'm a Fool to Want Your was one of his best,--interesting to compare the one in the 1951 to the one in 1957. I also like Autumn Leaves, especially the ending, and Where Are You?, and he did a series of reflective songs on turning 50 on his 1965 album September of My Years, including The September of My Years, September Song, It Was a Very Good Year, Yesterday When I Was Young, This Is All I Ask, and Once Upon a Time.

To see him just having fun with his "gang" (The Rat Pack) search for a show they all did of "Birth of the Blues". I think it may even have a very young Johnny Carson in it!

Frank sang, tap danced and acted. He has a large catalog of hits and I would be hard pressed to select just three! This video is from the movie “Anchors Aweigh” and Frank does all three along with Gene Kelly. If you feel like watching the video is here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/paTUnXysr7ymf5Y

You've GOT to review Sinatra's "My Way" which is amazing, much more than even the Elvis' version which you've already reacted to. "My Way" was written for Sinatra by Paul Anka.

You should check out this a cappella audition by Angelina Jordan when she was 7 years old of the Frank Sinatra Song, I'm A Fool To Want You, also performed by Billie Holiday, which is the version Angelina is doing. This is for an audition for Norway's Got Talent, which she won at 8 years old, although she didn't perform this on the broadcast version of the show (her first performance on the show was Gloomy Sunday, at 7, which shocked the judges, and the world). kzbin.info/www/bejne/gonOn3-QedSFjLM
