The music video legit is telling a story, too, along w the lyrics. It's about an evil company that manipulates and hypnotizes people to control them, but giving them the "idea" of feeling good. But it's nothing but sex and drugs. Those things only feel good temporarily, and you're addicted and have to become part of the system in order to keep getting that feeling. But our main character, 2-D, is dreaming about an actual peaceful existence, a floating windmill in the sky. But in the end, the corporation subdues his dreams, and he submits and gives up his rebellion to be yet another cog in the system because it's the path of least resistance.

From my understanding, theres basically 2 main guys and then they get other singers and musicians to come in and record with them (and tour with them, also, in some instances.) And I feel like thats what helps them stay unique and original in their work. I have never seen them live, but I bet their shows are one big dance party? Definitely one of the coolest bands to come out since 2000. Would love to check them out.

This group was so groundbreaking. Their music is hot and this visual of virtual musicians was very, very unique at the beginning of the millennium know a lot of other groups do this now, but Dash, and they just took the industry by storm. But again what makes his group great is there music.😊

Great reaction. They’re not a real group. It’s a bunch of musicians and artists collaborating to make a virtual group. It was created by Damon Albarn from Blur (he sings on most tracks) and cartoonist Jamie Hewlett. They work with hip-hop producer (one of my favs) Dan the Automator as well as Danger Mouse. They have features such as Del the Funkee Homosapian (Hieroglyphics, Deltron 3030), De La Soul (who was rapping in this video), Shaun Ryder, Bobby Womack, Tina Weymouth (Talking Heads), Mos Def, Vince Staples, Roots Manuva, MF DOOM, Miho Hatori (Cibbo Matto), Lou Reed (Velvet Underground) and a ton of other musicians.

They were developed as the ultimate manufactured band. This was at the time of any group of 3-5 teenagers being put together because they looked good to "sing" and be autotuned to hell to produce the modern manufactured pop of the time. The Gorillaz were a protest by Albarn and co. against this plethora of what they thought were rubbish manufactured pop.

Gorillaz were one of the first, the band Dethklok from the animated series Metalocalypse is another, the bands are made of well known musicians from other bands, so they are kind of supergroups,they actually tour in concert but the musicians play backstage and on stage are tv screens with animation showing

This song brings to mind the pursuit of happiness, and how in an effort to be happy people invest in hollow returns like sex and drugs to find happiness...but are always left empty when its over or the high ends. Like he says...Love forever, Love is free. He's longing for something real, but trapped inside Feel Good Inc.

The genius behind this band is Damon Albarn. He's the singer for the character with the blue hair 2D and is behind the creation of all the music. The thing about Gorillaz is its a collaboration between many artist. I recommend reacting to On Melancholy Hill next.

Originally they the lead singer and his friend a graphic artist and added the other three members later on. The lead singer wants to mix different genres. Murdoc is a famous rock bassist and has groupies around him all the time. Hence the S. innuendo.

Yo! The guy singing the chorus is the front-man of the old 90s band BLUR (who rule), Damon Albarn. But he didn't like being "a front man" and that whole fame aspect of music and the industry. So, basically he's the actual guy putting this band on, who then does a bunch of collaborations and can mix music genres and everything as he sees fit since there's no limitations with these imaginary characters.

Most of their stuff is chilled, funk, trip hop, rap/rock, but their videos are always second level and SOOOO creative. The main singer is Damon Albarn from a band called 'Blur' that were big in the 90's as part of the 'BritPop' scene. He was the only permanent member of Gorillaz with other members coming and going and loads of guest artists. Anyway, check out Sublime If you wanna to hear some good music. Sublime - Santeria, Let's Go Get Stoned, April 29th, 1992 (It's about the LA riots obviously from the date). Sublime was a band from Long Beach California. They incorporated rock, reggae, hip hop, house music, all in to one sound. Sublime was pretty much their own genre of music. No one else sounded like them and never will again for that matter. Check them out I think you'll like them a lot.

This is the brain child of damon alburn he was the kead singer of 90's brit pop band blur. Don't remember exactly who else is involved.obvs the animater.i think he did this in answer to someone who said he couldn't.create and make a band successful without having real people on stage? Clint Eastwood was a major actor and later director.i think the late 60's,70's early 80's were his busiest times.he was in spagetti westerns like the good the bad the ugly.if you see an image of a unshaven guy,cowboy hat,poncho cigarette hsnging out his mouth that's him.also he was a detective called dirty harry with iconic lines do you feel lucky punk and make my day. Damon dies most of the singing then gets someone different to appear on each song. I believe there's a story in the animation.your supposed to do them in a certain order?
