Wake Up Dead or my personal favorite... 99 Ways to Die amongst many, many more. For the record... there are 11 lead solos in the song "Hanger 18".

When they break the grading scale.. there is better Megadeth than Hangar 18. Ashes in Your Mouth, Washington is Next.. She-Wolf live from Rude Awakening, Sweating Bullets, Hook in Mouth, Peace Sells, Tornado of Souls, The Conjuring, Rattlehead, Dystopia, Wake up Dead, Youthanasia.. Theres even a Pt 2 to Hangar 18 called Return to Hangar. If I was to take the challenge, I'd say Angry Again.

There are no better Megadeth songs than Hanger 18. More specifically, Hanger 18 immediately follows Holy Wars and the way they sequence on the Rust in Peace record without space it is like Holy Wars...The Punishment Due and Hanger 18 are basically the same song. So, you kind of get the idea of how that record comes in. It's just a rifftastic masterpiece. As for 18 itself the reason this song works so well is how the rhythm of Mustaine, Ellefson and Menza set the table with some verse chorus verse and then just stretch out with arrangements of full thrash crunch that serve as canvas for Marty Freidmann to paint with his leads his narrative journeys. Despite your fears, I actually didn't grow bored hearing your after-song accolades. You were a Father and Son blown a way by the experience. However, even better was watching as much build in your faces as the song developed. Consider yourselves face-melted. Great video, guys. As for grandma, I would bring her in a bit easier and expose her to a metal track that has influence in her roots. It's Not Because of You by Witchcraft is a great song with a psychedelic vibe. The singing isn't Elvis-like per se. However, he is a crooner influenced by Jim Morrison who was influenced by Elvis. I think all three of you would really enjoy it. Last, while no Megadeth song is likely better than this one as far as sheer adrenaline you will miss a lot by not exploring further. Peace Sells is their most iconic song as well as most historically important. Sweating Bullets is entirely different from anything else MD have ever otherwise done. It was released as a single at the height of their popularity and is Dave's most creative song. If you do Sweating Bullets I highly recommend you do so to the outstanding video for the song to gain the full effect. There are many other moments in the band's career worthy that I would be remiss to not encourage you to keep listening despite the euphoria you experienced by this masterpiece. Godspeed.
