German singer, born in Russia, trained musical singer and dancer. Sold over 18 Mio records and has her own TV show in Germany. She usually sings " Deutschen Schlager" what could be described as german pop music. In her concerts and her tv shows she often performs great international songs as duetts with great international singers. She is also known for her elaborate dance performances during her shows. If you want to hear her singing in German and her typical music: Her most successful song so far has been "Atemlos", which is a typical german Schlagersong. It is translated to breathless.

Yes this Lady can sing, she is born in Russia, Grew up in Germany and live in Hamburg Germany. In any case, I recommend the song Atemlos to you, namely the live version in the Berlin Olympic Stadium!!Ok I looked it up it's the "Regen Version"

My favorite Helene Fischer is Franz Schubert’s Ave Maria in German with only a piano accompaniment. Amazing voice control as she sings in her native tongue. Then listen to her duets with Andre Bocelli, Josh Groban, and a raucous rendition of Sex Bomb with Tom Jones - What a Production.

Helene has 21 Gold Records + 60 Platinum Records ... quite sucessfull in DACH (= Germany, Austria, Switzerland) though. The british singer Sir Tom Jones akes her (!) for a duet at her (!) show ... You should/could check this performance ... I like it a lot! :)

wikipedia says she was born in Siberia, her parents belonged to the German settlers near the Black sea which were deported to Siberia in 1941 by Stain. I think it's fair to say she's the German version of Taylor Swift although she's not know that much outside of German speaking countries but nevertheless is the 5th or so best selling female artist worldwide. She's not my cup of tea as German Schlager is similar though not a copy of country music and it's way to cheesy for me. @@WilliamJohnson23522 I think it fair and fitting to compare the two singers. Otherwise I have to disagree strongly. Schlager is a synonym for a talent free zone. I know because I had to endure it more than once or twice in my life :) She may have had a well trained musical/classical upbringing. However if that's true it's an even more severe musical sin so to speak to join the Schlager industry later on in her life. I mean Germany has such a huge music heritage in ALL sorts of musical arts. But Schlager?
