VoicePlay usually don't block reactors, they like the attention that brings more viewers to their work. This video when it was released originally, was known for breaking several reactors, leaving them speechless and unable to comment. Some of them simply rose and left the room. You pulled it off very well and noticed the artistery of their work. Kudos to you. The VoicePlay fanbase (which includes the solowork of Geoff Castelucci) is a loyal one and will.be with you on every reaction.

Not only does Voiceplay not block reactors...some have been able to do interviews or reactions with the VoicePlay members themselves, such as Mortius's duo reaction video with Cesar for "Dream On" and The Charismatic Voice's interviews with Geoff and Layne.

My favorite thing is to see a reactor see and hear Voiceplay for the first time. They are phenomenal, the best in my opinion. This is from Pirates of the Caribbean 3, you called it. Voiceplay does their own arrangements, video, production, costumes and sometimes bring in makeup artists and additional camera. Most arrangements are one by either Geoff Castellucci, the bass, or Layne Stein, the beatboxer. They take turns each month. Whoever does the arrangement plans the set, direction, everything. They've had changes in members in the last two years, so when you go down the rabbit hole you you will see different artists. Don't fret, just enjoy. I will recommend The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim next. Also, We Don't Talk About Bruno. Geoff has been doing solo work since the pandemice, I would start with House of the Rising Sun or Ain't No Sunshine. Always watch until the Patron list starts to roll, they throw in surprises sometimes. And with Geoff's work, keep the closed captioning on, he throws in humor on some of his stuff. I look forward to more Voiceplay and Geoff. Subscribed in anticipation.

Totally agree... 😁IIona all phenomenal songs performed by a phenomenal a capella group. You can't go wrong.

Geoff has the best bass voice as he can sing from low to higher with no effort. They have so much fun with music. Love them!
@AtheisticPride2 жыл бұрын
always love seeing someones 1st exposure to Voiceplay. they are all super talented. Geoff, the bass singer, actually has a 5 octave range... sub harmonics to tenor 2. and he didnt hit his lowest note in this one, check out their Halo theme song cover if you wanna hear that
@laundrygoddess42 жыл бұрын
Eli and Layne have five octave ranges too. Cesar likely does too but he doesn't want to know his range as he feels it limits him

It's great to see your appreciation not only for the music, but for the video as well. VoicePlay always put a lot of effort into their work, including the videos, which they direct, shoot and edit on their own. The bald fellow with the rock tenor (Eli Jacobson) does all their lighting work, while the job of creating their vocal arrangements is shared between Layne Stein (vocal percussion) and Geoff Castellucci (bass). They tend to be known as the 'theatre kids' of a cappella because they do go hard in their videos, but they are still every bit as vocally gifted as the other two big a cappella groups of the scene currently.

VoicePlay is my favorite! Good reaction i'm glad you liked them. I was happy when you recognized the vocal gymnastics of the bass. For some reason a lot of reactors don't mention it.

I know you’re a gamer so you might like their cover of the Halo theme and they did a Skyrim cover as well. Both are excellent!!

Great, thoughtful response. The two primary arrangers, Geoff and Layne, always put their own "VoicePlay spin" on their covers, respecting the original while bringing something new. Sometimes they use them to tell a story - as they did with Queen in 5 minutes, a brilliant medley. This performance was arranged by Geoff, and it was one of the first where Eli took over lighting responsibility. Geoff Castellucci is the bass, you'll enjoy his cover (on his personal channel) of 16 Tons and Ain't No Sunshine.

Geoff's cover of Ain't No Sunshine and his version of Misty Mountains Cold are my two favorite pieces of music he's ever done.

VoicePlay is the theater/music kids among a capella groups. I think of this as a pirate jam session. This blew one reactor away so much he got up and left the room, forgetting he didn’t have pants on!

they do almost everything themselves from the arranging to the lighting they are amazing and they have a very loyal fan base ❤️🏴

I always subscribe to new pentaholics and voiceplayers. Voiceplay is basically a more dramatic version of Pentatonix.

This Is their best work for me. Sometimes Geoff go so low, he reaches Hell's basement. The devil is afraid to look down there in the dark..

It is from Pirates Of The Caribbean man. Pretty sure it's from the second or third. Anyway there's a scene in one of them showing a bunch of people being led to their deaths by hanging. A little boy starts singing this that leads to everyone singing along with him.

Great reaction. Voiceplay has a very loyal fan base and most of us love reaction videos so please do more. I'm sure others have told you already but there 3 A Cappella groups at the top right now. Voiceplay, my personal favorite, Home Free and Pentatonix. All are great but Voiceplay tends to be more theatrical and are often referred to as the theatre kids of the A Cappella world. They do everything from rock such as Dream On to Disney, like their Little Mermaid Medley, to video games such as The Dragonborn Comes from Skyrim. I strongly encourage you to check more of their videos out.

Seems everyone else has told you what you need to know.. Great reaction. Very thoughtful. I could see how your face changed as you started to enjoy it more. I'm subscibing so we (voiceplayers) can join you on your journey (which of course we hope you will do) with Voiceplay and Geoff. 😊 Also it's not normal for vp to block videos. They want people to enjoy their music. They'll don't have big promoters. They do almost everything themselves. Xx

I really enjoyed your reaction and appreciation of Voice Play--thanks! They are very different from Pentatonix and Home Free as they have more of a musical theater style and put so much into their production. They are a group from Orlando Florida and all their members have worked for Universal and/or Disney theme parks as performers. They cover all genres of music so well so I would recommend checking out their playlist and starting with covers you know and like--you won't be disappointed.

Geoff, the bass, is nowhere near the lowest bass (I am actually slightly lower than him)... he is just probably one of the best bass singers in the world, in my opinion. His ability to navigate his 5 octave range at-will and retain good tone and timbre is legendary.

I’m sure people have told you but Voiceplay will not object if you show their video-no need to obscure. Geoff Castellucci-the bass-has definitely made a name for himself with those insanely low notes, and yes, this group really goes all in with the whole theater part of it. But you should check out songs like Carry On Wayward Son as well. Great reaction-I hope you’ll react to more by Voiceplay and also look into Geoff’s solo channel. Also, please react to The Bass Gang’s recent cover of Bones by Imagine Dragons.

Top 3 groups in A Capella genre: Home Free - country boys VoicePlay - theater kids Pentatonix - pop kids My personal listing. The only ones that get blocked are Pentatonix and some of the earlier Home Free stuff done before 2017 when they were still under contract with Sony. VoicePlay and now Home Free are both independent.

If you like Geoff the bass, you have to check out their 'Oogie Boogie Song' and I don't see anything on your channel from Home Free... so you have to check them out One of my favorites for them is their Sea Shanty Medley... their beatboxer pulls some nice tricks in that one.

Hoist the Colours (or hoist the colors) was a song made by Hans Zimmer, owned by Disney just for the Pirates of the Caribbean movie (that being said, it's not a "real sea shanty" like drunken sailor or leave her johnny) anyhow it is a pretty amazing song, really sad they didn't include the whole song in the movie

You should look into the Teskey Brothers Rain ......I know its off topic of being an accopella group but if you put Teddy Swims Chris Stapleton together you get this guy and that's my opinion.......but they are legit ....STEVIEKNIGHT turned my onto them from his Sangin Sundays lol
