Tim Foust the bass singer has 7 full octaves. He can lead sing in a higher range. Listen to Home Free's version of "Oh Holy Night" Tim's baritone voice starts out this magnificent version of the timeless classic holiday tune. Every instrument you hear is created by their mouths. That includes, the Jew's harp, (the boing, boing, boing sound) harmonica, and drum set.

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

Great reaction! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

This is just Tim Foust, the bass, going light. This song doesn't even begin to show his full talents and incredible 5 octave range. Awesome! "Holy mother of bass!" is right. LOL! Home Free is good about sharing the lead vocals. If you want to hear more of bass Tim Foust on lead, check out his original composition, Champagne Taste (On a Beer Budget) and its follow up, Full of Cheer. This one is from a few years ago. If you want to see what they're like now, try What's Left of My Heart, also written by Tim. If you ever get the chance, see Home Free live. They're touring again and awesome in person. If a cappella was school, Pentatonix is the student council, Home Free is out in the parking lot hosting a tailgate party, and VoicePlay are the theater geeks. Usually an all-male quintet, they lost one member to the Navy so they've been having a series of featured singers join them, including Omar Cardona who is competing on The Voice this season. VoicePlay's bass, Geoff Castellucci, has a range comparable to Tim and can also rattle your chakras. They're from Orlando and have all worked at various theme parks over the years so they do a lot of Disney covers, but do all genres. I Can't Make You Love Me might make you cry; We Don't Talk About Bruno will make you laugh. So far they've done four songs from Nightmare Before Christmas. My favorite is Oogie Boogie's Song. Geoff also has a solo channel -- his latest is Ghost Riders in the Sky and it's awesome. Tim also has a solo channel, as does Austin Brown (the high tenor). They've also done several duets, with instruments. Which is a long way of saying ... there's a lot of material down this rabbit hole for reactions.

Oh girl, you have just tapped into the very best vocal band there is. These guys can do anything...every cover they do is an upgrade and their originals are awesome. Many people may think there is a lot of added parts in a studio video; however, they sound every bit as good as their concerts... they've done this piece in concert and it's awesome. They are so versatile...you must check out their cover of Boyz2Men End of the Road or Percy Sledge's When a Man Loves a Woman. Adam Rupp is the vocal percussionist extraordinaire and has several videos of his drum solos. Tim Faust is the bass singer and you will love his duet with Peter Hollens on Misty Mountain. Their harmonies are perfection in Helplessly Hoping or Brothers in Arms (which also features the group's two bass singers). Adam Chance is the baritone who joined the group in 2016 and he sings bass also, which frees Tim to take more leads rather than always the bass lines. You're going to really enjoy this journey and you're pretty much guaranteed an entire fan base that will be with you all the way. Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. One of the best ways to get to know their background is to start with the videos of their performances on Season 4 of the NBC show "The Sing Off" (the ones with the judges' comments are best). Or check out the "Home Free History" videos on Chris Rupp's channel--it's so cool to get insight into everything they've gone through to get to where they are now 🥰 In this song they are making a distinct southern (country blues) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Good 'Ol Country Harmony", "Land of the Free", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page), "Listen to the Music", and "Understand" 😍!
