Tim is a amazing singer with being able to hit the five octaves, Adam is the beat boxer who won many awards for beat boxing, then there is Rob and Austin who are the tenor and high tenor, Chris is no longer with them but he was a tenor also. Home free won the total on the sing off.

@@perkyshitzlipp9862 hardly. Listen the big 3 basses all like each other. There is no slight to anyone there and Tim would be the first person to tell you so. Avi does have a great and rare timbre to his voice. It is very different in tone from Tim's voice. So much so that some people classify him as a lyric bass. This is technical stuff and not a slight to anyone else. Saying Avi has a wonderful voice does not mean that Tim does not. It means she acknowledged the guest bass has a wonderful voice. Oh and Avi was asked to sing with them on this song specifically to boost the sales of their record because he was better known and it did do that for them. Oh and you do know that Chris Rupp is a MEMBER of Homefree right?

I have subbed & given a like. I'm a Home Fry (Home Free fan), and they are simply AMAZING. Their beatboxer is Adam Rupp the only original member still with the band. The band was formed in Minneapolis, MN in 2000. The High Tenor with the solo at the beginning is the AWESOME Austin Brown (who has his own KZbin channel with some solo stuff he's done, (both covers & music he's written). The regular tenor is the big guy with the beard &glasses. The old baritone & founder of the group (in the cowboy hat) in this video is Chris Rupp the brother of the beatboxer, and he was replaced with Adam Chance (called Chance to not confuse folks with the beatboxer), in May 2016. He is baritone but can fill in on bass when Tim Foust, the Bass of the group goes to his higher register to sing. Home Free won the Sing Off in Season 4 (Pentatonix win in season 3). Some covers to react to from Home Free : Folsom Prison Blues (another cash cover), the just did an awesome collab with Don McLean on his iconic song (bye bye Miss) American Pie. On all do respect and with absolutely no disregard to PTX or the Pentaholics, but I don't know many Home Fries, and I know many all over the world, that are Pentaholics as well so I wouldn't assume that we are. The two groups have completely different styles and music, and widely different arrangements, and just because we like one doesn't automatically mean we like the other, and it goes both ways.

Tim Foust last year was inducted into the music hall of fame for is talent/skill for hitting the bass note as low as the G1 key (not found on the standard keyboard). He is also recognized for his wide range in singing. You can find that video on the net. My favorites are “The Butt Medley” (or as some call it the Butt Remix) and “Folsom Prison.”

The high tenor singer is Austin Brown. He has a lot of new solo stuff out that’s great (Unchained Medley, Take the night off are great). The beat boxer is Adam Rupp. He is ridiculous. The other tenor is Rob Lundquist who is fantastic - and has a crazy talent for whistling. Adam Chance is the current baritone and does bass back up. He also can overtone sing and helps with percussion. Previous baritone was Chris Rupp (brother of beat boxer) who founded the group but left a few years ago. PLEASE react to Man of Constant Sorrows by Home Free next. I promise you will love it.

Home Free is amazing. I discovered them during the pandemic and fell in love. They won the NBC show the Sing Off in 2013 a year after Pentatonix won and are friends with Avi and some of the other “a cappella” groups. The beatboxer is Adam Rupp, he’s amazing and has a video on KZbin Adam Rupp drum solo. Tim Foust is the incredible bass. He has a 5 octave range and so can sing tenor as well as bass. Rob Lundquist is a tenor and has a beard and glasses, Adam Chance is the baritone/bass (he’s the newest member -not in this video). He replaced Chris Rupp tenor in the cowboy hat and was the band’s founder. Chris left the band in 2016. Austin Brown is the high tenor and has reddish hair. They are all amazing singers and they switch leads on different songs. They do a lot of covers but also write and sing their own stuff. They’re known as country but sing all genres. Try Helplessly Hoping, Seven Bridges Road, End of the Road. Amazing talents.

Tim hits a B0 in it, he has the lowest range of the popular acapella groups out there right now but has such a bright tone that he doesn't always seem as low. look up some of Adam Rupp's "drum solo" videos out there, he's known as the Freak of Nature

Adam Rupp (beatboxer from Minnesota) and Chris Rupp (baritone from Minnesota) are the two brothers that started the group. They pulled in Rob Lindquist (Teddy bear tenor from Minnesota) who was singing with another group and bartending. The group then did a social media search and found Tim Faust (Base from Texas). He has helped other bassists reach lower notes (maybe Avi and Geoff from Voice Play). Tim was a singer and a school teacher. While featuring on a cruise ship, the group met Austin Brown (High tenor from Georgia) who was an on-board performer. They asked him to join. Chris, later, decided to go for a solo career and left the group on very good terms. The group then added Adam Chance (bass/baritone from California) usually called Chance so as not to confuse him with the other Adam.

All 3 can go equally low, and both Tim & Geoff can go well in to the tenor range. The difference is not how low they can go, but in how they use their voices. Avi has a soft and velvetty sound. Geoff has a wide sound. Tim rubles & growl. Avi & Geoff's voiceses are perfect for their more pop like music (thou Avi also sings folk type music). Tim's voice are well suitet for the more country like songs, in HF's repertoire.

@@hellefur6631 Tim helped both Avi and Geoff reach sub-harmonic vocals where you hit a low not then introduce vocal fry to drop another octave. Tim has hit the lowest not so far but the different color of all their mid low range (which is way lower than a normal human) is amazing. One of the reasons this song works so well is both Tim and Avi are sharing the base line and the two colors bring a whole different flavor. You can watch the live sing-off performance from Home Free and it's awesome but this one adds that extra spice that only two base lines could add.

Tim Foust is a really good bass though not Avi in my opinion. I call Tim a milk chocolate sound while Avi is 90% chocolate in his tone.

But, Tim is more there to rattle your brains as a vocal bass... he can sing substantially lower than Avi and is who trained Avi in growl and subharmonic note techniques. Tim also trained Geoff Castellucci... because Tim can actually sing lower than him, too.
