Did he get offended? maybe we have different understandings of the word but he never seemed upset. Seeing something while not knowing it's intention and asking if it's racist isn't getting offended. For example, I was born in 1988 and, while I never did it, it was common for people to end their AIM (or whatever) username with the last two numbers of their birth year. So I would have been something like Wannamaker88. Cut to the year of our lord 2022, if I see someone use 88 in their user name... there is a not insignificant likelihood that person is a nazi. So if I somehow still had an old username that had 88 in it... I wouldn't fault someone for thinking I was a nazi. And I don't fault @Tiijayy TV for seeing a white woman painted to have dark skin as something that potentially might be racist. I agree it's not racist but ya know..

Whether she has a message or not doesn't really matter, black face was a uniquely American thing. Course, I think the whole idea of black face being racist is stupid. It is no different than a black person doing whiteface, or dressing up as Asian or any other culture. People need to move on, things do not stay the same, language change, symbols change, and peoples intentions change. Actors in America did black face after the civil war, and it was racist back then because they were making fun of black people. If I do black face and act like Neil deGrasse Tyson because he is someone I really look up to and find inspiration from, am I doing it to be racist, or out of respect for a personal hero of mine? Society has moved from looking down at blacks to being inspired by them.

Could be wrong, but I feel like the full body paint was just a way to add another layer to the video so it wasn't just them standing in front of a building the whole time, basically just a way to keep the video from being too bland. (I'm aware they could have done it in other ways, but maybe it was just the best solution they could come up with.) I'm thinking this because they were never shown in the same scene with both having the same colors. He was "white" and she was "black", but every time they were shown separately their colors were the opposite. Hopefully I said that well enough to make sense.. lol)
