Basically, he's making fun of the rock n rollers who seem to have too much to complain about.

One of the greatest guitar players ever. You should listen to the Eagles "Hotel California"- but be aware that they might copyright strike. Some reactors have done it with no problem. I would love to see your reactions to The Dead South. Try "Broken Cowboy" (Happy mag version), "Banjo Odyssey" if you want to get a little weird. They are from Saskatchewan,Canada, very talented, and very unique.

Joe had earlier band called The James Gang, try Funk #49 and Rocky Mountain Way done by Joe. The ending of the song was just Joe's sense of humor, he is quite a character!

I loved the reaction, Shon! I had totally forgotten about the flock of wah, wahs at the end! Thank you for waiting for it! I saw Joe Walsh in concert in Atlanta in approximately 1974 and at the end of the concert he played a recording of part of the Micky Mouse Club TV show theme -- "M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E". Joe has a wacky sense of humor that is so unpretentious. He loves to pull stuff like that on audiences!

I was so hyped when I saw you were doing this one, I knew how much there'd be for you to digest and that you'd love. A completely different song I know you'd love us Hold On by Wilson Phillips, cuz I know you love good harmonizes. 😎❤️ Edit: What the hell was that at the end? That duck thing.. that always been there?? 😲🤯

Flock of Wah Wahs is Joke Song. The 1970s was the era of The Joke Song. A little nonsense speech, song or tune thrown in for fun.

Excellent review! You were asking about the background singers. The deep voice was his producer, Bill Szymczyk. The other voice was his wife at the time Jody Boyer. They have a daughter named Lucy Walsh. She is an actress. She was Cleopatra in Antony and Cleopatra. By the way “the flock of wah wahs” was something he would do sometimes in concerts just for a laugh. He was also in The Eagles (or just Eagles) Either way works.

Good tune. But of every Joe Walsh song, Rocky Mountain Way and stuff from his James Gang time, best represent Joe's music. This maybe least. Lol. But fun all the same! ✌️💜🎶

“I can’t complain but sometimes I still do” is one of my all-time favorite lyrics. And the music is top notch. The song is mostly autobiographical, except maybe for the lines “it’s hard to handle this fortune and fame, everybody’s so different - I haven’t changed”. I think the fame DID get to him, which is how he ended up in all the crazy hijinks in the song.
