I love the solo work and it's so easy to see why the Eagles wanted him to join the band. He was the perfect fit for the next era of the band.

Great song. Reminds me of “ Wanted Dead Or Alive” by Bon Jovi. But this came out in 1985 and the other song in 1986 with the Wild Wild West feel to it. Second part kicks ass with its lead guitar parts.

This is a criminally underrated song IMHO. And I don't think that Joe Walsh gets enough credit for how great he wrote and played. Great reaction as usual guys! The song starts out with a bluesy introspection that some have said was influenced by the 4th step in AA which is to “make a searching and fearless moral inventory of yourself”. At the time, Joe and then girlfriend, Steve Nicks of Fleetwood Mac, had a massive and uncontrolled cocaine habit and he had decided to break up with her because one of them was going to end up dead and they couldn’t save each other. About halfway through the song, it opens up to one of the best guitar riffs and solos in rock and he begins to explain that everything is laid bare before the Confessor. It culminates in a blistering guitar solo and in very apt lyrics with a message that’s still applicable today, maybe even more so: Take all the trauma, drama, comments The guilt and doubt and shame The what if's and if only's The shackles and the chains The violence and aggression The pettiness and scorn The jealousy and hatred The tempest and discord And give it up 🤘Rock On!🤘 Kelly

If you like Joe Walsh you have to listen to Life's Been Good. He writes about his rock star lifestyle with his great sense of humor and course it is a rocking song. You also see why the Eagle's hotel California guitar solo was so epic with him and Don Felder.

Joe Walsh is a guitar Rock God the man just has these incredible licks and drive and Power. He is a icon for his music and his facial expressions as he solos. Joe is what the rock and roll lifestyle is all about hard core sometimes but chaotic with Direction and Joe has destroyed hotels around the world. Everyone loves Joe Walsh his that crazy uncle who likes to party. He doesn't drink anymore which is good because I want to see him live just once.

When he was still with James Gang, Joe played the iconic guitar parts on THE BOMBER, on the album James Gang Rides Again - you really must hear that. James Gang, Eagles, and solo, Joe Walsh is just amazing. Additionally, I'll suggest IN THE CITY, ROCKY MOUNTAIN WAY, ORDINARY AVERAGE GUY, ANALOG MAN, and MEADOWS.

Guys, these are some if the best bars ever written, imo. Its all about identifying the bad parts of urself wgen u are really down and out, and purging urself of them. I always thought, but dont know if this is accurate, that this is about his desparate struggle wuth alcoholism, and reaching deep to find himself again.
