This is my son and my favorite song. Him 3 years old , me recently divorced, feeling low, he wanted to hear this song over and over and wanted this newly single father to dance with him over and over. Lol. He's 23 now but we still talk about it. Brings tears to my eyes. Thank you.

Check out some Farm Aid performances going back to 1985. So many great artists and performances. Holding your lighter up goes back to the mid 70’s at least. I don’t remember a lot from those days but I recall all the concerts I went to and we all had lighters, whether we smoked or not. I’m not sure when it started or why. Other than venues were dark and everyone had lighters.

I was in juvie detention when this came out. Locked up! But I loved this song for sure. It helped me feel peace, during some rough times. ^_^
