I've met John. He lives just a few miles upstream from me on the Tickfaw River, here in southern Louisiana. Nice enough fella and always waves as he passes by in his ride

John has one of those voices that can sing different genres. I have heard country, Broadway, classical, funny. He's an actor it comes out well.

I have had a huge crush on John since I first saw the Dukes of Hazzard for the first time when I was young. Country Girls and Been Around Long Enough to Know are great.

Funny thing is, out of fear of being rejected for the role of 'Bo Duke' because he was only 18 years old, John Schneider lied to the producers of the show about his age. Tom Wopat (Luke Duke) was 28 and Catherine Bach (Daisy Duke) 25 at that time. About halfway through the first season the producers learned of his real age and almost fired him from the show, but by then he had become a 'teenage heartthrob' and the show was such a hit on Friday nights at 8 pm on CBS that he became untouchable. Back then, CBS owned network prime time TV. No one else even came close.

How does that foot taste, BJ? 🤣😂 Bill Anderson wrote this song about something that happened to him. You kids crack me up. Thanks for making my day.

This is one of Johns newer songs. His ex took him for a ride when they divorced. It was a terrible situation. It would be great if you could react to some of his songs from the 80's. He really has some great songs!!

Most people know John Schneider as Bo Duke from “The Dukes of Hazzard” but I think he’s a better singer than he is actor.

First off, John Schneider did NOT write this song... It is a cover. It was released by "Whispering" Bill Anderson first. I thought he wrote it, but I have found contradictions to that claim, so I am not sure who actually wrote it. I do know that both versions are good though. Another thing, as mentioned by others here, John Schneider did play Bo Duke in the "Dukes of Hazard". The "YEE HAAWW" in the song is a reference to that show. Another, built in reference, not originally intended when it was written, but pops up when John Sings it, is when it is mentioned that "Bo Duke" does not know how to drive. In fact, in the official video, they even show a clip of the General Lee in action from the show. A nice little Easter egg. The official video is also shot in a barn, that can be a reference to either of the two television shows that John Schneider is best known for... "Dukes of Hazard" or "Smallville", in which he played Jonathon Kent, the human, adopted father of teenage Clark Kent, BEFORE he grew up to become Superman.
