I had a near death..., well, I choked on pizza, and the first thing that went through my head was "I'm dead." Just calm, matter of factly. I wasn't scared at all. IMO when we die we become part of everything. There is something different when you are dead or alive. I call it an energy. It's there when you are alive and when you die it goes back to everywhere. I just hope it happens quickly. It could just be wishful thinking. But who, or whatever created this, better introduce themselves, and explain this shit.😁

"...for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return." Fun fact the Guitar was a Finger Exercise for learning Fingerpicking. Kerry Livgren's wife said that had a nice melody and he wrote some Lyrics too it and brought it to the Band and after a moments "stunned silence" asked "Kerry, where has this been?" Would become the Bands Best Selling Single. 😁❤🤘

I have had the extreme good fortune to have seen KANSAS Live 4 times. Phil Ehart is my Favorite Drummer. He plays melodies not just rhythm patterns. Every member is a musical GENIUS. This song is a crowd favorite. Steve Walsh is Keyboards and a great vocalist. Robby plays Violin like NOBODY else. Kerry on Guitar is phenomenal along with Rich and Dave….AWESOME performance every time.

The both of you are very wise young people. Kansas is a Christian band and when you think of forever, we’re thinking forever in the future and the past. our lives are nothing but a microsecond if that compared to the omnipotence of God. He’s not a fairytale. He’s not folklore. He is real. Longs for everyone to come home to him. But he also gives us free will. Free choice. If we choose not to be part of him, then he allows us to make that choice. Plain and simple. Blessings to you and your family.

The message is, no matter how important someone is when they die, they’re no more important than anyone else. Because all we are is dust on the wind. Just a single drop in an endless sea. It’s very humbling when you think about it.

Saw these guys in a bar back in the early 90s when no one gave a crap about them. This song was awesome when the electric violin came in. I sat at the bar for the entire concert. Maybe 50 people there. The guitarist came over and we got smashed together lol. I wanted him to sign something but all I had was a soggy beer napkin. Still have the signed napkin. Fun times.

Here a song that has violin in it but rocks like most other songs by Kansas (both bands also happen to be from Kansas the state; around the same time). You have to listen to either "Apercu" or "Icarus - Borne On Wings of Steel" both excellent, especially the epic that is Apercu. If you're into instrumentals and amazing vocals that Kansas has to offer, that one's it. The song literally takes you on a journey. P.S. "The Wall" is another song to note, their most beautiful song by far. I listen to it the most besides Apercu. It's about getting past challenges and can be applied to ANY adversity you face.

Back in the day when this was hot for some reason Kansas NEVER played in Nebraska. I lived there so a buddy and I had to go to Red Rocks Colorado(God's Cathedral). Very well worth the trip and a nice ride on a couple of Harleys with our girls. I've seen them since then with the new band members in Reno (Harrah's outdoor venue) Still killin' it. You must check out "Point of Know Return" I would have hit the trifecta 05/06/2022, unfortunately they cancelled so It's another Alice Cooper show but I'm not complaining. I still have this LP./Album. Happy belated 4/20

Life is precious and short. Appreciate each moment because once that moment is gone you can't get it back. We all die and turn to dust. The song is trying to get a message across that we need to appreciate those we love, appreciate our lives because you never know what tomorrow will bring. ❤️

"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou are , and unto dust shalt thou return." Genesis 3:19. Fortunately that is only physical death. Spiritual death is what you want to avoid. John 3:14-17 "And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up: 15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life. 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ the Son of God." It is a dangerous time in History. Don't put off the free gift you can have today by Believing. GOOD REACTION!
