It's not about a couple cheating on each other, its about a couple who have split up but still love and miss the other while they are trying to move on with something else but ultimately come back together...

So sad you didn't watch the video.. the way they smile and look at each other when they sit next to each other singing. He wrote it.. I feel it was perfect with him singing it..

It's a good video, but sometimes it's better to not be distracted by the video and just take in the music.
@creinicke10003 жыл бұрын
@@falseshepherd-490 a singer I love is James Arthur.. His lyrics are very significant..and his most recent album "It will all make sense in the end" is filled with good songs and he's made several fantastic videos for it... but he also does accoustic simple versions with just him and a guitar or piano accompaniment.. and often there's just a lyric version.. So yes, I get what you're saying. But I feel like the video is part of the song too.. I miss it. Another one is Stapleton.. he does almost no videos.. But the live songs are SO Much better than the record versions.. So it is a quandry.

I know what you're saying in regards to his voice Asia, but I think the deliberate "rawness" of it, is what makes it so good for this particular song. I can't imagine enjoying it as much if it was sung any other way, but than again I've been listening to it for years. You should listen to it some more; maybe you'd come around 😊!

Never did really get into Kid Rock, but it's no doubt that the dude has talent comin outa his ears...he can do a wide variety of music, write, compose, engineer, and produce with the best of em...Prince was stoopid good at all that stuff as well (and one hell of a guitarist...saw him twice, and he could shred).

I'm with Asia. I've always thought the same thing when Kid Rock hits those low notes in a few places of the song. You can tell he is not putting alot of power behind his vocals on those couple of spots in the song. When he sang you reminded of brighter days, that whole line sounded like a struggle to keep it that low and on key at the same time. When he got to "days" , he was on the brink of going off key because he had reached the lowest note that he could utter.
