Stan was such a huge fan of Eminem, he wanted to be exactly like him.. in the music video he bleached his hair blonde.. he confessed cutting his wrists because he learned it in the songs.. and he learned how to kill his gf like Eminem.. except Stan is going to strangle her so the death lasts longer, so he did it "better" than Em by slitting Kims throat.. in the first verse of Stan he said he would name his daughter Bonnie for the song "97 Bonnie and Clyde"
