This is pure art in motion. John Paul uses a Farfisa Combo Organ at the beginning and middle parts, then a Hohner D6 Cavinet keyboard. Jimmy drags the violin bow across the Les Paul to the key of A…and we then get: the intro to In The Light. Then comes Robert’s double-tracked vocal part, Bonham’s drum part and the electric bass part from Jones. It is a fusion of mastery from guys who just couldn’t help themselves not to release anything that wasn’t worthy to themselves and of their incredibly loyal fan base. I’m one of those guys!

Zeppelin kept everyone guessing. They were the kings of album rock. They played the music they wanted to play. Don't get hung up on song titles.

Isn't this crazy good? That was a synthesizer. The greatness of Zeppelin!!
@brentabbott39542 жыл бұрын
No synth here that is a hurdy Gurdy instrument. Look it up on the beginning of the song remains the same movie.then afterwards the synth comes in.

Jones is using a Farfisa Combo Organ. Jimmy drags the violin bow across the strings to get the drone. Though I never thought of the Hurdygurdy playing part in this intro. Good call I have to say…but I’m not fully certain this is the case. Only Jim knows I guess!

It's 'I will share your load. Let me share your load'. It seems to be a song about supporting his friend or lover in times of trouble. He's also advising that if someone feels that they can't go on they should look towards the light 'to find the road'.

With Zep music (and all things, quite frankly), you have to keep an open mind because they go places. If you notice, the song does start dark and vaguely ominous but by the end, it feels like you're lifting up higher and higher. Zep will always be different.

Try Night Flight from this album. This was 1975...1990 was the remaster which means it was digitally cleaned up for background noise.

According to John Paul Jones, this was referring to a Couple who were long time Family friends, then a Freak accident killed her Husband. The Song picks up with This Guy Trying to comfort her after she had Gotten so Distraught over losing her Husband, she Tried to take her oun Life! From the Very Beginning when the Bagpipes Drone Slowly in the Background. Then Is Joined by a Synthesized Keyboard 🎹! Sets the Tone for the Entire Song! And it's Full of profound Lyrics, Such as, " When Love is Pain, it Can Devour You"! 🎶 Great Reaction Folks! 👍
