Leela james music is a mid 2000s neo soul r&b joint with a old school blusey lyrical feel. Leela is a very underated artist. Great selection luv it!

she is arguably the most underrated female artist ever...she is my all time favorite behind only anita baker...this is her 1st single from back in 2005...all her music is like thos...u should check out the song she did with Anthony hamilton

Leela James might be a somewhat of a new artist to some, but she's been around since 2005. Her real name is Alechia Janeice Campbell. In fact this was the very song that introduced me to her music. I heard this joint back in 2006 on XM Satellite Radio. Her music genre is classified as Neo-Soul more than R&B. She didn't get a lot of airplay on the mainstream radio stations if at all. That's why some people don't know about her. Leela is highly underrated in my book. She did an awesome cover of Bootsy Collins "I Rather Be With You" and Womack and Womack's "Baby I'm Scared of You."

Love the line about putting the thongs away and getting back to falling in love with music. i could also suggest Hate on Me my Jill Scott. also a banger. Music is alive and well today, it's just a lot harder to find as radio and streaming has been stuck on one genre for quite some time, leaving very little variety like it was back it the day. they played everything on the same station so it was easier to hear different songs and genres that you like, now you really have to dig, but good music is till out there.
