First time hearing Måneskin “Beggin” Reaction | Asia and BJ

I had never heard of this band (not my typical choice of music) but they were on SNL last weekend. I was mesmerized by them. He gives me total Prince vibes with the amazing outfits, heeled shoes and his androgynous look. It's not represented in his attire in this video but it was in the SNL performances. He has an awesome (and sexy) voice.

It's a Danish word and there is a little circle on the letter A so it's pronounced "oo" = Mooneskin, meaning moonshine 😄 Damiano, the lead singer, always plays with the lyrics while singing making faces and being usually ironic, he always says they want to keep it fun and not take it too seriously, which I think is a distinguishing trait, having fun on stage between members and with the audience, we all need a bit of fun in times like these.

The correct Danish pronunciation is something close to Moh - nah - skin, but many people do pronounce it like Mah - nah - skin so you will hear both, but three syllables either way. The name comes from the bassist Victoria who is half Italian and half Danish.

My wife and I are in my 60's and we traveled from Columbus Ohio to Detroit to see them in November 2022 at the Filmore in downtown Detroit. To our surprise there was a group of women who was sitting at our table who were actually a couple years older. It's nice to see others in our age range enjoy this band and their great music.

They were good on SNL, and the fashion was amazing. They actually though cover multiple genres. Like most of us the first song we heard was Beggin’(and I actually heard Irish busker Allie Sherlock cover their version and then discovered Maneskin) They do ballads, funk, hard rock, soft rock, pop rock, some reggae, he raps in some songs. They are all young beautiful, smart, and great energetic musicians. And on top of that they have a cool approach to life, sex and gender themes. BTW I have found some of their Italien songs to be the best. So if you appreciate music you will find at least a couple songs that will appeal. “Torna a Casa has an outstanding music video that shows a totally different side and genre done when they were only teens. Coraline is a true mast
