There was a long period of time I could not listen to that song without crying 😢. I’ve lost a lot of friends to HIV/AIDS in the 90s. I haven’t even tried to listen to it in years. Too heartbreaking. I can listen to Janet’s “Together Again” only because it’s a more uptempo song, but the message is the same. I miss my friends deeply, I’ve grown to middle age without them to grow old with.
