I’m so glad you liked this song. Written in the 1600s! What better way to honor God than to keep this sacred music alive. Much love…❤

This song was a secret song, only sung at the Vatican for the Pope. Untill Mozart heard it once, wrote it down from memory and made it public for the world, a century and a half later.

Thank goodness for Mozart's wonderful memory and what a shame that the Vatican couldn't share. Perhaps God does work in wond'rous ways.

I wish music was like this again, there’s nothing like being able to feel emotion in words you don’t even understand but sheer power of voices coming together without instruments is beyond moving! One of my most favorite pieces is Adagio For Strings by Hauser except the instruments are the only voices but just as emotional!

The words in English are beautiful too and so profound ❤

Miserere (full title: Miserere mei, Deus, Latin for "Have mercy on me, O God") is a setting of Psalm 51 (Psalm 50 in Septuagint numbering) ...

A masterpiece, written in very dark Times when the Plaque killed millions of people in a gruesome way. This beautiful piece probably gave people some hope
