I was a huge Charice fan, and it's great that the Philippines has produced a worthy successor. Like yourself, I stumbled across Morissette several months ago. I watched Nicole Scherzinger's version of "Never Enough" (which is amazing). There were comments on that video about this woman Morissette singing it. So I watched Morrissette's version of Never Enough and she blew me away. Since then I avidly watch her videos. There are five songs that she sings that I absolutely love and they bring tears to my eyes every time I listen to them. Definitely… she’s the Queen of the world right now. Morissette got it all… I would suggest you listen to some more of her older vids. Before you get into her originals, listen to her live renditions of Mariah, Whitney, Celine, Tori Kelly, Christina Aguilera, Beyonce… a little bit of everything actually… but I’m sure you’ll find performances with a band that you’ll love. Almost any genre.

Not exactly with bands, but recommend you start with her live performances on the Wish Bus 107.5 Radio Station: Rise Up, Never Enough, Akin Ka Na Lang (original), Secret Love Song. Note that Rise Up is not on Wish's own channel anymore, but easily foudn on YT. Then maybe Stone Cold from the same MYX live you just watched. She is probably the best female vocalist right now in terms of pure vocal ability, with more room to grow as she is only 25 years old. If you like to listen to the background singers you can check out Fly Like A Bird or their black & white cover of Rise Up (both studio). If you want to listen to her live, any of her Wish Bus stuff is amazing (my favorite is Rise up or Akin Ka Na lang). But now she's got an album plus a bunch of live performances up so you could also just look for a cover you'd like to hear (or one of her originals). She's freaking amazing. Been a professional musician and live engineer for 35 years and she's the best I ever heard. Oh....and if you want to hear stripped down, look up her cover of Defying Gravity....it's astonishing.
