Just thanks for doing this kind of song! There's nothing "common" about it, but it's way more common than most folks realize. And no, Lennon isn't just being melodramatic. I just retired from a life's work as a counselor; and I can tell you this for sure.

Hey! Wow! Your comment on Yoko being like a mother-figure/nurturing for John is very insightful, especially if you didn't know that he called Yoko "Mother".

I feel like this is a really important reaction. At some point when he was young, his Aunt Julia took care of him, and he wrote a song to her as well, I think it's on the White Album. It's beautiful.

Julia and John really loved each other, it's just that Julia couldn't handle John on her own. So in came Aunt Mimi. But Julia still saw John from time to time, and she showed him some lessons on uke. So tragic what happened to her, and his life after her death. John's mother Julia was hit by a car and died, when he was a teen. And his father took off on him and Julia when John was around 5. They connected much later. To some extent.

I see this was before your benchmark of 100k...and I see you were really spreading your wings to get there. I respect that so much. Being a huge Lennon fan in my youth I'm surprised I'VE NEVER HEARD THIS ONE. I cried the entire video because I relate to it personally. But from what I can see it shows pictures of his first son Julian from his first wife. He left her and their son to marry Yoko within a year of Julian being born. (around 1969) The Beatles split around that time as well. John loved Yoko deeply by all accounts. And it seems his love for her caused ultimate pain and ultimate joy. When he was literally assassinated in 1980, (I was 15) I cried like he was family. I think half the world was in tears. And I LOVE your take on what Yoko likely was for John. She mothered him and nurtured that hurt little man in him. (I say that with respect). Their love seemed to cause so much pain for others. That had to be hard. GREAT reaction man. Loved it.

@Lulabee2024 Julian was five when John left, old enough to feel the pain. Julian was still five when Paul wrote Hey Jude for him..

IT was a Sad, Sad day when he was killed, I think i heard the killer was freed and he supposedly sings too!

This is just John, (accompanied by Klaus Voormann - bass and Ringo Starr - Drums) not John & Yoko

I never cared for these two together especially Oko. But he loved her and their son. Is she still living in NYC?
