These guys are true musicians and songwriters with a long list of great songs. If you choose to take this road, you'll also be led to a long list of other great musicians in this sort of genre of their own. You could have a great experience and have reaction material for years because bands like these have a gigantic fan base. Enjoy!

This song finds Marcus Mumford singing about the challenges of maintaining a relationship amidst the conflicts of life on the road.

The more I hear this song, the stronger the spiritual/religious vibe I get. I think the "I fell heavy into your arms" line always plants the idea this is about a romantic relationship, but if you imagine he's speaking to God you get a whole other meaning.
@carrielaliberte32556 ай бұрын
Ha, you spoke to me. I was able to equate a relationship….. yet it just seemed to me that he was talking to God. Either way it was fun ❤

What a great comment from you! Yes, they cross so many genre’s. Perhaps that was one reason they became so popular. This song came from the album Babel. It is one of the greatest ever made. It has so many great songs. Yes, they write their own songs.

This has a religious sentiment as well, surrendering to the Lord. Another band that was much better live than studio. Had great success, won Grammy awards... this song won Best Rock Song. They crossed a lot of genres with their music. Unfortunately the band broke up. 😔 Loved hearing Asia sing the chorus... I could see her doing a cover in her style. Hope you enjoyed it. Also, loved BJs interpretation. Best song writers create lyrics that can be applied to many situations and experiences. Below is a link their Red Rock performance of you're curious. kzbin.info/www/bejne/p6LCnpurhcamhKs

"I Will Wait" is a Mumford & Sons song. They write all their songs with no outside co-writers. You guys should do reaction to their actual videos of their songs instead of just a lyrics video. Also, do check out Marcus Mumford(Mumford & Sons lead singer) solo album which released September 16, 2022.

Thiis song is about Marcus Mumford's wife, actress Carey Mulligan and waiting for her. The two were childhood pen pals and it was only after they both found success in their respective fields that they got in touch with each other again as adults. Marcus and Carey began sending each other letters through their churches when they were kids. After becoming friends again things got more serious in early 2011 and they two became romantically involved and married after a nine-month engagement. Through the years of having fallen out of touch, Marcus kept his hope up that they would meet again. Even through being distanced during their engagement/relationship and having conflicting schedule (Marcus having a busy recording/tour schedule and Carey having a busy filming schedule), they waited for one another and never gave up on the love they have for one another.
