@@ruidurao5889 As much as I love Plug in Baby, it's easily Muse's most GENERIC song! Yes it was a big hit - Muse have quite a few big hits and reactors tend to only react to a handful at most of songs from a specific band, BECAUSE they have a hundred other bands to react to! You've listed 8 songs! Halve that list! You don't like Starlight fine but when choosing a handful of songs for a reactor to listen to you want to get a good sample that shows the RANGE of the band or artiste and not just pick 4-8 songs that are all to your taste. Starlight is a ballad - I picked it BECAUSE it's a ballad! I could have picked Feeling Good instead but I went with Starlight because I personally prefer it to Feeling Good and because I'd already picked both New Born AND Citizen Erased from Origin of Symmetry and wanted to pick a song from an album I hadn't picked from.

Muse and Coldplay are this 80's girl's fave bands these days. You'll like Supermassive Black Hole, Madness, Knights of Cydonia (and so many more. My fave is Undisclosed Desires). The singer/guitarist Matt Bellamy sounds exactly the same live- and their shows are EPIC!

William Shakespeare always used different spellings - bit of useless trivia. Another bit of trivia in case you didn't know, Marcella Detroit from them is really Marcy Levy who was a backing singer for Eric Clapton in the late 70s and early 80s. She co-wrote his 1978 hit Lay Down Sally....

This was the first single taken from English alternative rock band Muse's fifth studio album The Resistance. Singer/guitarist Matt Bellamy described this to Mojo magazine August 2009, in a pre-release interview, as "like a heavy-rock take on Goldfrapp. It has football-style chanting, with all of us going 'Oi!' in time with the snare drum." He added laughing, "It's meant to be football hooligans chanting in protest at the banking situation." Bellamy told MTV News that this is one of the key tracks on The Resistance. He explained: "It's the first track on the album, it kind of sums up what some of the album's about. You know, just sick of all these bloody bankers, politicians... just turning everything to a load of bol---ks. Just spending money on s--- and blowing everything. Ive been lucky to see them in concert many times. The mosh pits are insane. They are incredible live. Absolute legends. Matt Bellamy's voice is opera trained and is powerful and confident, and it's just the three of them making music like a ten piece band

This whole album is actually based on a book called 1984 about resistance in a dystopian society. One of my favorite books. As soon as I heard this album I new it was about 1984!

I don't think there is a way to go wrong with ANY Muse song, they are just that awesome! But if you want another badass song that shows off the lead singers pipes and unique voice, then Supremacy is it. Also, Knights of Cydonia is a cult classic by now, with thanks to the official video on top of the great sound (helps that it is a mix of western /kung-fu sci-fi parody).

Muse are in my top 3 bands of all time, and I can’t say enough amazing things about them. They are the real deal, real artists through and through. I would love to see you react to their live clips, because they are really are a band to be listened to that way. Their studio work is fantastic but live they are incredible. Some others to check out are (if we’re talking more popular songs): “Madness”, “Butterflies and Hurricanes” “Dead Inside”, “Supermassive Black Hole”, “Hysteria”, “Supremacy”, and “New Born” to name a few. If you get the chance to see them live, do it. It’s as much of a visual treat as it is musical. Fun fact: They were friends in high school and have been together as a band since. Also, thank you for giving a shout out to drummer, Dom. He deserves the glory too!

Song/Band Request: Arcade Fire - Neighbourhood #1 Tunnels (Live 2007 Rock En Seine) This is the first song from their first album and a great intro to them. They’re live performances are amazing. They’re heavily influenced by a lot of the older rock bands you’ve reacted to but unique. A band with women in it too, massively talented

Man, it's so cool hearing you explain your first impression of the song, because even though you've never heard it before or know anything about Muse or Matt Bellamy, you get it. That speaks volumes about both your perceptiveness and their ability to convey things through music. I saw someone had posted a quote about the meaning of the song in the comments. Matt has also said that the entire Resistance album is influenced or inspired by the novel "1984" by George Orwell. If you don't know the book, I think you should check out what it's about and compare to your impression of the song.
