Congratulations on discovering what is in my opinion the best all-around group in kpop. They have some of the best rappers and vocalists around, they are terrific dancers, and they’re also cute and funny. Their “comeback” singles are often so aggressive and “experimental” that a lot of people hate them, at least at first. But, there’s so much variety that you’re pretty much guaranteed to find a song you’ll like. I also love the beat switchups. I can listen to songs like “Lemonade” and “2 Baddies” just for the beats. I would suggest you start with “Kick It” because the mv is really cool. Welcome to the fandom, you’re going to have a lot of fun.

Exactly this! I always tell ppl I don’t think NCT are the best because they’re my fave, they’re my fave because they actually are the best. At everything, singing dancing rapping. No one tops them collectively.

My favorite thing about this Killing Voice is NCT 127’s b-sides. They have some crazy title tracks since they are the more experimental out of all the subunits. Definitely check out Kick It, Ay-yo, Superhuman, and Favorite. The members, L to R, Johnny, Yuta, Haechan (who is also in NCT Dream), Taeyong (the leader of NCT, has solo work), Jungwoo, Taeil (the golden voice! Has covers, and OSTs), Doyoung (sweet voice, does many covers and OSTs), Mark (also in NCT Dream, NCT U, and Super M; has solo work; he is a busy kid!) and Jaehyun (triple threat: sings, dances, raps; global ambassador for Prada; has solo work). Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo formed the 5th subunit, DoJaeJung. Check out Perfume and Kiss. I do highly recommend the NCT debut, The 7th Sense. Welcome future NCTzen (N-CiTizen)! Hope you don’t get burned out too quickly. Kpop will swallow you whole if you let it lol

This Killing Voice performance, as the title indicates, is supposed to showcase NCT-127's outstanding vocals, so just like in EXO's Killing Voice performance, what you are hearing is a complication of some of the best parts of their songs that highlight their vocal abilities. They have a lot of songs, so you are only hearing a small fraction of them and only a few lines of each of the songs (And in some cases, they are singing parts from the middle of the song, so it may sound different when you listen to the actual song.) Also, several of these songs are B-side tracks, so they don't have MVs. Because NCT is an SM Entertainment group, it shouldn't be a surprise that they are also amazing singers. SM is known for having some of the best singers in the industry. You can't be an SM artist without having unbelievable vocal abilities. Even the company's rappers focus on vocal training. That is why the company has gained the reputation as the vocal powerhouse of the industry. All of SM's artists and groups are known for being top tier when it comes to live vocals and perfect harmonies. And, switching up the beat and style of the song in the middle of the song is pretty much how the majority of NCT songs are structured, as well as SM's songs in general. It's kind of SM's signature style. You will hear that same thing happen in a lot of the songs you listen to from SM. In this performance there are 9 members -- from left to right: *Johnny (lead vocalist and sub-rapper), Yuta (lead vocalist), Haechan (main vocalist), *Taeyong (leader of all of NCT, main rapper and dancer), Jungwoo (main vocalist), Taeil (main vocalist), Doyoung (main vocalist), *Mark (main rapper and dancer) and *Jaehyun (main vocalist and sub-rapper). Taeil is the oldest of all of NCT and he is currently 29 and Haechan is the youngest in NCT-127 at 23. However, if you want to know who is the youngest out of all the NCT members, that would currently be NCT-Dream member, Jisung, who is 21. NCT -- which stands for Neo (a pop culture term that means new/original) Culture Technology -- currently has 20 members. And the group right now as a whole has 4 sub-units -- NCT-U, NCT-127, NCT-Dream and WayV. NCT-127 is NCT's second sub-unit, which debuted in July 2016. NCT-127 currently has 9 or 10 members. This group is more of a fixed unit, so the member lineup stays the same most of the time. The 127 in this unit's name stands for the longitude coordinates of Seoul, South Korea, on a map of the world, which means it's 127's job to represent Seoul -- the birthplace of Kpop -- around the world. Therefore, some of NCT-127's songs are part of NCT-127 mini albums and other songs are part of full albums that include songs from all of NCT's sub-units. Hence, why some of the album descriptions mention NCT-127 and others just say NCT. "Fire Truck" was NCT-127's debut song, and at that time there were only 7 members of NCT who were in the "Fire Truck" MV -- Taeyong, Mark, Jaehyun, Taeil, Yuta, Winwin and Haechan. However, now that NCT has 9/10 members they also include Johnny and Jungwoo in the song whenever they perform it. For their song "Touch", the part at the beginning where Mark said, "ummm ...", that was actually part of the song. If you listen to the full song, you will hear him do the same thing in the MV. Fun fact: What you heard was the Korean version of "Highway to Heaven," but if you watch the MV for the song, you will see they also have an all-English version. ("Highway to Heaven" was released during their North American leg of their concert tour in 2019.) They have an all-English version of some of their songs because NCT-127 promotes a lot in the U.S. "Faster" was just an (INST) instrumental version of the song, which means it's just the music and they don't sing. "Faster (INST)" was the intro to "2 Baddies," so Johnny was supposed to be introducing "2 Baddies" at that moment while "Faster" was playing. "2 Baddies" was their most recent comeback song at the time and the whole reason why they were on Dingo's Killing Voice was to promote "2 Baddies," which is why you heard that whole song, "Designer" was also a song on their 2 Baddies album. NCT is one of the most internationally diverse groups in all of Kpop. The members as a whole currently represent 8 different countries and they speak 7 or 8 different languages. For example, there are 9 native Korean members (*Taeyong, Doyoung, Taeil, Haechan, *Jaehyun, Jeno, Jaemin, Jisung, and Jungwoo), *Mark is Korean-Canadian, *Johnny is Korean-American (from Chicago), Yuta is Japanese, *Ten is Thai, *YangYang is Taiwanese but he grew up in Germany, Hendery is Chinese from Macau (China) and 5 mainland Chinese members (WinWin, Kun, Xiaojun, Renjun and Chenle). However, they all live and work in Korea, so everyone speaks Korean fluently. Plus, many members have attended international schools or lived abroad, so there are several members who are also *fluent in English, on top of speaking 2 or more other languages. NCT is a group that is constantly changing and rearranging its members and sound and we never know quite what to expect from them. With a concept that allows the members to rotate between sub-units, changing, adding and subtracting members depending on the concept and style of the group or song, you should never expect the same thing from them. You are better off always expecting something new, that somehow, also ends up sounding very much like NCT. LOL NCT is SM's attempt at taking over the music industry around the world. SM's original goal was to eventually have NCT sub-units representing every major city in every country in the world. They soon will be adding new members and creating a Japanese sub-unit. It has always been SM's plan to have world domination. And to that point, right now NCT-127 is the group that SM is using to try and get their foothold in the U.S. music market with all English versions of song like "Regular" and "Highway to Heaven" and collaborations with American artists such as Jason Derulo, as well as U.S. concert tours and promotional tours with the American media, etc. So, this year is NCT's 7th anniversary, but debut dates are different for any number of members because it all depends on when they were added to the group. And many of the members of NCT actually became recognized by fans even before debut because they were part of SM's pre-debut group project called SMRookies, so SM did activities with several of the members before they debuted.

And just because it has now become a new popculture term, it doesn't mean it wasn't taken from something in the past. Popculture just means that it has become popularized in culture today. I never said this was the only use of the word or that SM invented the word. It doesn't matter when the word was originally invented, that has nothing to do with it. All I'm saying is it has become a term now used in popculture, and in this case, it means new/original.

Yes! NCT127 are fun and talented! So they are from the same company/agency as EXO (SM Entertainment). They are like EXO’s younger brothers and some are actually close. They are part of a huge group (NCT U) with 20 members that consist NCT127, NCT Dream and WayV. sometimes they mix up the members into units and they also put out music as a whole 20+ member group too. Also, SM had created a special group consisting of Baekhyun, Kai, 4 members from NCT U and Taemin from Shinee (super talented). Baekhyun is the leader and they were so chaotic all together. Please react to Seventeen’s Killing Voice. They are my other FAVORITE group! Another group that came from the group up and created their own success. Known as the self produced group because one of the members writes/produces 99% of their music with their members involved in writing and their performance team is involved in making their choreo. Seventeen has the best energy.

~Johnny was born and raised in Chicago. He is American ~Mark was born and raised in Canada born in Toronto and moved to Vancouver. He's a nice Canadian guy ~Jaehyun used to live in Connecticut USA from 5 to 10 years old ~Yuta is from Osaka Japan And all the members of NCT they are amazing❤❤❤❤❤❤

EXO and NCT are from the same agency, SM Entertainment. SM's groups are known for their vocals & visuals. All the artists, including rappers, can sing. SM is known to have the best vocalists. NCT came after EXO and is more experimental with their music. The SM groups before EXO have incredible singers too. Another thing about SM groups, they all get along for the most part and their b-sides are usually better than the title tracks. SM songs have incredible switch ups and usually has melodic and older R&B vibe to them.
