Can't believe you're starting with "Juicy", loved this one from Biggie ❤. I was into indie/grunge and metal in the 90's but I also liked rap too. The bombing in the underground car park was in '93 and this was released in '94. Sean "Puffy" combs signed him to Bad Boys Entertainment and Tupac, was his homie in the early days, before the famous shooting on Tupac outside the recording studio that Biggie and Puffy was at the time. Love it when you react to artists from the past...always like a trip down memory lane. Another good one off the same album is "Suicidal Thoughts". 😁

There's a large number of people who believe Biggie was the next Nostradamus, as he predicted the Twin Tower bombings and his own death in the song I suggested. They seem to forget the event in 93 and as for his own death, many rappers of that time said the same because of the lifestyle, so funny 😂.

Great reaction! You’ve been working through Tupac’s catalog so I figured it might be good to get some Biggie in there as well. I wanted to start with this one because it has a pretty positive message. Talking about how he went from selling drugs to get by to making a living from rapping. Also I agree with the Big Poppa recommendation. That’s a fun one.

This whole song is basically a shout-out. A love letter to his journey from hood kid to rap legend. And it makes sense that you dont know a lot of the names he's mentioning. You didn't grow up with him in his hood, so how would you know them?
