This was very simply recorded on his property with no special effects. It was a big hit locally, and then spread like wildfire all over the world. People feel the same way: They work hard, feel used and abused by their governments, and feel insignificant. You matter, India. Keep the faith.

Oliver was struggling just like you before he was discovered. He was literally living in a camper with his family. He turned down a LOT of money to not be under contract to a big record company. He's doing fine now, and doesn't have to worry about putting food on the table or paying bills because of his success. He probably is what most people would consider wealthy now. But he's been there where you are. So there's hope for you. Look around, there's people WAY worse off than you, so be thankful for what you DO have. NO, you life isn't easy, but you've still got a long journey and time to get there. Money won't buy you happiness, so look to the things that matter, God, your family, and friends.

My goodness, India. I don't tear up easily but your reaction to this song was SO similar to mine when I first heard it. Honey, you ARE important, you ARE somebody special and you ARE loved by everyone who meets you either in person or otherwise! The smiling thing... I've always been given shit because I smile even when I'm hurting. But the thing is, is that my smile isn't for me. It's for the person or people that I'm interacting with at the moment. Why?
