He was 53 years old when he did this concert in Bercy, Paris in 2004. Truly an amazing performance by Brad Cole (keyboards, synthesizers, Vocoder), Daryl Stuermer (6 String Guitar), Leland Sklar (Bass Guitar), Chester Thompson ("Rhythm" Drums) and Phil himself (vocals, drums). It was performed in front of 20,000 + people at the "Palais Omnisport de Paris" and truly was, if not the greatest, close to the greatest live performance ever. It was from his "Finally... The First Farewell" Tour and this particular concert in Bercy started with an amazing "Drums, Drums & More Drums" track performed by Phil and his other drummer, the previously mentioned Mr. Thompson. Incidentally, this track ("In the Air Tonight") was the 17th in the tracklist sandwiched between Separate Lives and Dance Into the Light. Phil had the energy he had in this song all the way through to the end of the concert (as did his musicians). Now that he can no longer drum, his son NIcholas plays drums almost as well as the old man did--literally--Phil is inhis 70's now. His son was on the Domino tour with Genesis recently. Oh and of course, his daughter Lily is rapidly becoming a famous actress in her own right. So, he's still doing alright I suppose (tongue in cheek).

Then from Elvis, If I can dream (reaction to MLK en JFK), also his live "In the ghetto" same tone.. then also live "Suspicious minds", a bit more playful, but a must react. Also a must react, his final live performance before his passing in a bad shape, but still perfect live "Unchained melody". There is also a trailer about the new 'Black Panther, Wakanda forever'. it's emotional, but you gotta do that too even if your not a big movie person. tribute to Chadwick boseman r.i.p..

It's so sad that not even 0.01% of all KZbin reaction guys know how or want to better this. This is NOT genre. It's just utter PURE TALENT! The 1980's in the UK was a music era that will NEVER be replicated. So much talent and every band wanting to be the best and blow each other off the stage. Music since then has become limp. Check out THE POLICE, IT BITES, PETER GABRIEL, GO WEST. There was a village near London where all of the session musicians lived. Genesis drummer turned front man after Peter Gabriel left (and you’ll have to react to some of his amazing songs too). Genesis we’re a prog rock band for years but when the 80s came along they changed their sound quite a lot while remaining true to their beginnings (in my humble opinion). Songs like Abacab, Another Record, Turn It On Again, Mama, Silver Rainbow or Invisible Touch stack up nicely alongside their earlier work like Cinema Show, Musical Box and Suppers Ready. Sounds like 2 different bands for sure.
