Saw Queen in concert right after this came out. They did a song called "Bicycle Race" right after this and during the song a bunch of "Fat Bottomed Girls" came out topless riding bicycles on stage. "Hey Warriors, come out and play-ay!" One of the best bad movies I ever saw. If I remember correctly I saw it either just before or just after I saw Star Wars for the first time in the same movie theater. Son of Sam was hunting "Fat Bottomed Girls" in his own way at the time.

The song is made in a French village. The Tour the France took place there. The advertisement for the tour was girls. The song also came from there. The documentary "Queen- Days of Our Lives" explains this.

Lead guitarist Brian May (also an astrophysicist & animal rights champion) wrote this naughty little ditty for Freddie because he admired curvy ladies (& a bit of padding on guys too). Gentlemanly Dr. May also wrote "Tie Your Mother Down", another naughty little ditty you might like. And I love "Warriors", especially the Baseball Furies (looked a little like Kiss) & that pounding electronic soundtrack!💙

In 1984, Queen released the album “The Works”. On that Album Queen recorded a Christmas song, “Thank God it’s Christmas”. To my disbelief, I could never understand why I NEVER HEARD it during the Christmas/Holiday Season, right up there with “Grandma Got Ran Over by a Reindeer”, REALLY?!?! Anyway, it’s well known that Freddie’s most loved Holiday was Christmas. Ironically, in November 1991, one month before Christmas, he died from complications from AIDS. In the song “Thank God it’s Christmas” Freddie sings about how happy he was able to celebrate Christmas: Partial Lyrics: Thank God it's Christmas! For. One. Night. Can it be Christmas? Let it be Christmas Every day! I’m not the type to do this, but due to my EXTREME PASSION FOR QUEEN, I’m sending this comment to ALL MY NEWEST QUEEN FANS I HAVE SUBSCRIBED TO. Especially the ones that HAVE RECENTLY BEGUN REACTING TO QUEEN. This is my suggestion, since Christmas is right around the corner, I would appreciate it if Queen Fans, New and Old, make Queen’s “Thank God it’s Christmas “THE CHRISTMAS SONG OF 2019”, although it is 35 years of not being recognized. Please consider and spread the word. Sincerely Original Fat Bottom Girl from Old HB NYC, I’m not Freakin kidding!!!!!!

FBG was written by bassist John Deacon. He wrote songs based his personal life. This song plus "You're my best friend" and "Somebody to Love" he wrote about his wife. John wrote about 50% of the band's songs. Brian May (guitarist) wrote the anthems like We will rock you, We are the Champions, Flash and Hammer to Fall. Drummer Roger Taylor a number songs like Stone Cold Crazy, I'm in love with my car & These are the Days. Freddie wrote Bohemian Rhapsody, Killer Queen, One Vision & The Love of my Life. I'm happy that the black community is getting to know Queen and their music but to know the knowledge of the band is educational. Queen is the staple of the rock music genre by being different which makes them instant legends, for acts like Queen and Michael Jackson brings all communities together no matter what race or religion you are but these people brought us together for good quality and highly popular music that the world fell in love with.

Brian May song, actually - he and Roger (drummer) had an affinity for the "rocker" songs.. it was featured on the album "Jazz" and as part of an album promotion Queen sponsored a nude bicycle race -- see also the song: "Bicycle" - in which there is a line: "fat-bottomed girls they'll be riding today... so look out for those cuties, oh yeah" - this album also featured one of their more well-known (today) songs - "Don't Stop me Now" - although it wasn't much of a charter at the time... looking forward to more Queen reactions from you... thanks!

If you react to more Queen songs you'll get to 100K. Queen fans are obsessed! As a big movie fan you need to watch the movie about Queen and Freddie. It came out last fall and it's called Bohemian Rhapsody and it's, of course on HBO now or you can rent it. It's not 100% accurate but close enough (it's a movie, not a documentary). It won all kinds of awards, especially for the actor, Rami Malek (from Mr. Robot on tv) who played Freddie.
