This video is recorded by 30 cameras and 70 different camera positions. Over 17.000 people on diffrent days. The crowed control is not a matter of course. Germans and french people have a heavy past history. But you hear french people singing german. Thats awesome. and Till screams in the break (5:30 min) in french "chantez" (sing). And the crowed do it. ^^The liveshows are very awesome and crazy. Look at the other songs too. "Deutschland", "Adieu", or with deeper lyrics "Zeit", "Ohne Dich". Every song ist great. Nice reaction more of that! ;-)

The keyboardist, Flake Lorenz, likes walking on a treadmill during shows to keep in shape and keeping moving since a keyboardist can't move around like a singer or guitarist. He generally walks about 15 miles per show.

Hi there from Germany and many thanks for your great reaction! It was as much fire as the video! Please keep on reacting to Rammstein songs if possible, there are so many outstanding masterpieces. As to the lyrics: It's an anti-marriage song. The complete first phrase is "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt" which translates to "You have asked me and I said nothing (= no Yes). By presenting this phrase in pieces (du ... du hast ... du hast mich ... du hast mich gefragt ... etc.) one piece could mean "Du hast mich"" = "You have me" or "Du hasst mich" = "You hate me". The main phrase goes "Willst du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage" which translates to "Do you want to be faithful at her side until death seperates you" and they shout "NEIN!" = "NO" ... "Du hast" is the best known song from RS but if you ask RS fans for their favorite song you may get 30 different songs because they are all so unique and different and just brillant music. Lyrics and topics are sometimes wierd though. RS has many power songs (like "Du hast") but also beautiful calm songs. I would like to recommend some songs to you but I'm sad for all the ones I can't mention. A totally different and new (1 year) RS song is "Zeit" (official video), great are also: "Rammlied" (live Madison Square Garden), "Ich will" (live Hurricane festival 2016), "Du riechst so gut" (live Hellfest 2016), "Wollt Ihr das Bett in Flammen sehen?" (live Paris), "Mein Herz brennt Piano version (official video), "Sehnsucht" (live Moscow 2019), "Adieu" (official video), "Deutschland" (official video), "Wiener Blut" (live Wacken 2013), "Ohne dich" (official video). Great breakdown of the lyrics. I read a story once that the singer's longtime girlfriend wanted them to get married and this song is basically his feelings on the matter. "You already have me forever, so no need to get married." Is that a true story? I read it on the internet so it must be true!

In German, du hast (you have) and du hasst (you hate) sound the same. The lyrics also reference wedding vows where the answer is nein (no). The "du hast mich" could either be an offer (you have me) or an accusation (you hate me). It is written as an offer but shouted as if it was the latter.

The first three rows of their shows are called hot seats. Du hast is you have, so he's saying You Have Me(Du hast mich), and Du hasst mich means You Hate Me. He's saying both. =) I definitely recommend seeing the live video of Feuer Frei to see them blowing fire.

It was a live concert of Rammstein, recorded with a lot of cameras. The lightning on the keyboard is a post production effect, as well as the slow motion shots. But the rest is real. In Rammstein concerts there is a lot of fire, not in every song, but in many. Short explanation of the lyrics: The first three words are "Du hast mich" (you have me) which at that moment doesn't make any sense in German. But it sounds (intentionally) the same as "Du hasst mich" (you hate me). Later in the song, the first three words are extended to a full sentence: "Du hast mich gefragt und ich hab nichts gesagt." (You asked me and I did not answer.) And then, to show what he was asked, the chorus is a wedding vow: "Willst Du bis der Tod euch scheidet treu ihr sein für alle Tage?" (Do you want to be faithful to her for all days until death do us part?) This is answered first by a kind of female voice "Ja" (yes) and afterwards by Till's harsh voice "Nein!" (No!). These - plus a slightly obscene word play on the wedding vow, that I will not explain here - are the whole lyrics (repeated a few times). For many of Rammstein's videos there are English subtitles available. But if you cut out the last word and just say "Du hast mich." it sounds exactly like "Du hasst mich." which means "You hate me". Without "gefragt" only the second meaning makes sence so the lyrics plays with both meanings. Also the response in the end is "..und ich hab' nichts gesagt." which means: "And I didn't say anything." like, I didn't answered.

the lyrics of the stanza are just 2 sentences 1."Du hast mich gefragt/You have asked me" but broken down into bits and pieces starting Du Du hast Du hast mich Du hast mich gefragt And the 2nd sentence as response to the first 2. "Und ich hab nichts gesagt/And I have said nothing" =meaning "And I didn´t reply" the chorus is then 2 sentences/2 questions actually, from the traditional German marriage vow asked by the marriage priest before he declares the couple to be married 1. Do you want to be loyal to her for all days till death is tearing you both apart? - (his answer =) NO, NO 2. Do you want to love her for all days till death is tearing you both apart? - (his answer=) NO, NO Basically the song is about a couple where in the stanza she asked him if he wants to marry but he didn´t respond to her question. And in the chorus they obviously ended nevertheless in front of the altar at a wedding ceremony where he then blew the marriage in front of the altar in the very last minute by denying the vow. By the way there is also an "official video/not a life performance" but that is almost 30 years old because the song is actually that old. And that life performance is from the "official tour video" from 2017. I recommend to watch the Rammstein video "Deutschland" meaning "Germany" you will be totally amazed (from the production quality = video comes across like a high budget movie production) and totally confused (because I assume you don´t know 1000 years of German history which is shown in that video by more than less just symoblic bits and pieces) at the same time...promised.

hi dude as a native and still resident German I like to inform you about some "secrets" of our language. Du hast (written with one s) means as much as "you have". Du hasst (double s) is "you hate". But both are spoken the same and Rammstein LOVE ambiguous terms 🙂 Makes people think about ! And: with Rammstein you always have to be prepared for everything, even the worst. ENJOY and have the hell of a nice time listening to PS: first time I recognize it: 1:09 I love that Triple H like water spit into the air ! . . . and . . . when the singer appears on stage and don't need to sing a single fu**** word coz the crowd does - you know you made it ! Only thing that would ever convince a group of frogs in Paris to sing in German. The liquid isn’t blood it’s fire retardant. The lead singer is certified with pyrotechnics.
