This song is basically a horror version of a children’s show about the sandman telling bedtime stories. But Til brings nightmares. So you aren’t super far off.

I was stationed near Rammstein Germany in 1967, as far as "boxer" is concerned it's the town where heavyweight contender Karl Mildenberger owned a boxing gym. He challenged Ali back then and lost.
