You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. They are known for their tight harmonies, having one of the best bass singers with a 5 octave range & one of the best vocal percussionists. They lean towards country but can do any genre. This song is done in a country reggae beat. It showcases the higher & lower ranges of both Tim Foust & Avi Kaplan. That last note of Tim is impressive with how low he goes, but more impressive is how long he sustains the note. On the "Sing Off Show" that Home Free won in 2013 Tim goes even lower on this song "Ring Of Fire" & he impressed the judges so much that they gave them a standing ovation. And Adam Rupp once again was stellar in his vocal percussion. Most reactors start with "Man Of Constant Sorrow".

Yes, welcome to Home Free, all acapella, no instruments at all. Masters of all musical genres. They won the 4th season of the Sing Off in 2013. Their covers are upgrades, their medleys are brilliant, their collaborations with the original artists are inspirational, and their original songs are masterpieces. Within this 5 man vocal band you have 5 tenors, 5 beat boxers, and 2 bass-baritones. All of them can sing lead and they choose depending on whose voice best fits the song. They can do just about anything and they continue to grow and improve, yet they remain so humble. When they have featured guest artist, they support and allow their featured artists to shine. Several of them have their own channels and do some solo work. And just for fun Rob and Austin sing Opera. What else can I say? Their catalogue of work is quite large and continues to grow. You are in for an exciting journey and the Home Fries will be there for you all the way.

Others have recommended some songs but you might also like their cover of Blue Ain't Your Color by Keith Urban. They take it somewhere unexpected. I also highly recommend their performances from the show The Sing Off. Several channels on KZbin have them posted. The 3rd group in the Golden Trifecta was also on that season but Hime Free won. Tip: anything pre-2016 will have co-founder Chris Rupp as a member of the group. He's usually wearing a cowboy hat or baseball cap. He's also the brother of the beatboxer, Adam Rupp. Mid-2016 Adam Chance (Chance) replaces him as baritone. No more member changes after that even though they go through some changes in how they look (mostly Tim & Austin).

"Brothers in Arms" is such a hauntingly beautiful song with a message that we all need to be reminded of right now. AVI from PTX did that first fabulous bass bit, but that final fire was our own Tim Foust...and that's when Avi swaps his beret for a cowboy hat. Fabulous reaction so I subbed to follow your journey; as will many Home Fries (HF fans). We really appreciate our reactors because your excitement takes us back to our first Home Free experience. Another great Johnny Cash cover is Folsom Prison Blues done during quarantine where they all submitted their parts to Darren Rust and their fantastic production crew. They really get into soul pieces with their covers of Boyz2Men End of the Road and Percy Sledge's When A Man Loves A Woman. Caution: Home Free is highly addictive. 3 of them are song writers so there are lots of originals as well as covers. The beatboxer (Adam Rupp) is incomparable. They sing (and write) everything from gospel to goofy, light-hearted to heart-breaking. Next on your list should be "Man of Constant Sorrow"; however, DO NOT watch Mayday until you've seen around a dozen others. Fall down the rabbit hole - it's a great trip!

Ring of Fire in a more modern, somewhat reggea-like version, but still respecting the original. More than 4 ½years ago this was the first video I saw/heard from Home Free. I got there because I was listening to Pentatonix at the time and Avi was my favorite. Immediately there was something that drew me to Home Free. From then on I followed them and after I think 2 videos I was a real Home Fry. I hardly follow PTX anymore. Avi still does, because Avi Kaplan and Home Free let me feel music and not just hear it. Their great harmonies, the unbelievably good beatboxing/vocal percussion (Adam Rupp) and of course that incredible deep bass (Tim Foust) that makes the ground vibrate and your speakers explode. Personally, I thought Avi fit better with Home Free than with PTX. But that's my opinion 😊 I'm so glad I finally got to see HF live. it was really that great! Even better than I thought. The first time but certainly not the last. I am a real Home Fry from the Netherlands !

This is a great video but I still prefer the version our HF fellas sang for their third performance on the 4th season of The Sing Off.
