So not sure if you have heard the original. Losing It by Fisher was an EDM track and the only words in it are "I'm losing it" so this isn't Ren's beats. Just Ren rapping over this iconic track! So good! A million different flows!

@@AudioLunch If I heard it correctly, Ren didn't get the rights to this or ask permission. He was just a fan of the track and did this out of respect/tribute for Fisher. He doesn't make money off it and it's not on his albums or any music streaming services.

Ren has played around with the beat and obviously Renified it 😂 Another older song that shows some of Ren producing a song is JESSICA ft Orlean. It’s 8 years old and brill. FISHER released this EDM track back in July 2018 and played it the following month on the Pagoda Stage at Shambhala, I was off shift and waiting in line for some dinner at the food trucks, by the Pagoda gates, and the whole dance floor was so packed it spilled out to the food court common area. Everyone there was groovin' hard, my line was a bunch of us waiting for our delicious donairs and booty shakin, it was such a blast! Ren did this track so much justice...when I first saw the title I was like, "No way!" and he did not disappoint. I don't know if FISHER has heard this, but if he ever plays the festival again I'll be sure to find out!

This song has so many layers. Every bar has a reference that only some people can know because they're somewhat obscure. Sometimes I have to pause and Google a line. Then, of course something comes up that's always in context. It's baffling to me. Yesterday Ren made an Instagram post musing about how lyrics came to him. It was fascinating to and so different. (I have heard him say something similar in an interview) It was posted on KZbin by a Ren fan's channel called Ren not Ren.

The keyboard Ren has in his room is a Nord Stage 3, and it's fucking amazing. It has a full suite of pianos, organs, and synths. Plus, it actually generates the synths in the keyboard. It doesn't just play recorded samples.
