In fact, this public reaction is the reaction of passionate people, Brazilians passionate about something, but it was not as popular in Brazil as it deserved to be. I only discovered this band after his death, I heard the music, I thought it was a foreigner singing, until the part where he speaks Portuguese. Make total sense your comparison, actually Andre Mattos was very close to replace Bruce Dickinson in 2000's in Iron Maiden's vocals. An imense lost for Brazil and the world, him passing away so young.
