I'm gonna take issue with your characterizations. The music is what it is and the reaction format should not factor into the evaluation. I'm pretty much talking to a wall, but it needs to be said. It amazes how so many reviewers can have such a harsh, narrow view of certain songs/genres but grant latitude and praise to patently inferior noise. The musicianship on this song is exceptional and a special mix features her scatting along with the guitar solo, which was a favorite of Chicago house djs, who would often play it in the mix instead of the verse vocals. I'd normally recommend the title track, her biggest hit, but why bother.
