She's Malaysian with more than 300 local & international awards. She made her debut after she won a local singing competition show ,"Bintang HMI" in 1995 when she was 16. She also one of Malaysia's best selling artists,with her album sales having contributed to 10 percent of Malaysia's total album 2001. To date ,she has sold more than 6 million record sales. At International stage,Siti has won the Gold Award in "Asia New Singer Competition" at Shanghai Asia Music Festival in 1999. Two awards (Best Female Vocal Female Performance and Best Song )from "South Pasific International Song and Singing Competition 1999" held in Gold Cost ,Queensland Australia. And The Grand Prix Champion title in Voice of Asia in 2002 held in Almaty , Kazakhstan. In 2020 after receiving a record breaking of votes, she won the public choice for Adelaide Festival Centre's Walk of Fame 2019. In 2005 Siti become the first South East Asian Singer and third Asian Singer to perform a solo concert at the Royal Albert Hall, London,while being backed by the London Symphony Orchestra.She was listed second by MTV Asia in Asia's Best Musical Artiste and Channel V's Biggest Asian Artiste in 2005. Later in 2008 she was named as one of Asia's Idol by Asia New Network.

Oh u r so spot on when u mentioned Diana Ross. I mean look at both of them when they r on stage. There is that star quality that shines so bright. Just the smile, the sparkly eyes, the humbleness they showed on stage. Very similar in that department. I am not sure about Soul singers like Aretha & Patti though. Because soul singers have very unique way of singing. When they go for low notes they go really2 deep & when they belt they do a lot of runs as well. Siti tends to go soft when shes singing low notes. I would say her style of singing is more similar to classical singers. Her singing in some sense are similar to someone like Barbra Streisand to me. They like to hold the notes straight when they are belting too. Barbra & Siti's vibrato sounds really similar too. They also uses a slightly nasal tone and generates their voce right around the head/nose area.
