SRV may he R.I.P One of the greats that is highly missed. A true musicians musician. Many of the greats of Blues at the time had the opportunity to perform with him names like BB King, Albert King. Eric Clapton considered him a good friend and was with him earlier in the evening his death. Texas Flood will not only tingle the ears but is visually exciting as well. ✌️☮️ 🤠🐂🏞️🛩️

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a genius with talent that no one will ever see again, Stevie Ray Could play behind his head, backwards, one hand, broken string, break a string and switch guitar without missing a beat, tune his guitar while playing, adjust his AMP'S while playing one handed, his teeth, his elbow and play behind his head longer than anyone ever could. Stevie Ray's career only span 7 years and in that 7 years starting with the release of his album Texas Flood in 1983 Stevie Ray and Double Trouble recorded in 2 days and in 7 yrs he was inducted into The Austin Music Hall Of Fame, The Blues Hall Of Fame, he won 6 Grammys, 10 Austin Music Awards, 5 W.C.Handy Awards , Entertainer Of The Year, Instermental Of The Year and in 2015 he was inducted into The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. He was loved and respected by many great Blues players, Stevie Ray always said his biggest influence in his life was his older brother Jimmy who is a great guitarist In his own right and had a band called The Fabulous Thunderbirds then all the great Blues performers B.B.King, Buddy Guy, Albert King who was actually Stevie Ray's godfather. His career sadly ended on August 27,1990 after playing a show in East Troy Wisconsin at the Alpine Valley Theater with Eric Clapton, Robert Clay and his brother Jimmy Vaughan. Check out the live versions of everything starting with Texas Flood at the El Macombo. There are many versions of this Jimi Hendrix original, one more amazing than you can believe another could be. This guy is part man, part guitar, pure Alien. This band is unbelievably talented and so in sync. I don't know how they manage to follow Stevie's wizardry, but hot damn they made it work like a charm. Or should I say like Voodoo magik. Stevie Ray Vaughan was the GOAT IMO. There will never be another like him in many ways. Besides guitar hero, the voice, soul, swag, showmanship, sassy, sexy... A rock star. A force of nature. A-mazing! We love him! Stevie is considered by many to be the greatest guitar player who ever lived - this is always going to be someone's personal opinion, but definitely check out plenty more as each time you hear him you will be more and more amazed, live is best. "Texas Flood" - Live at the El Mocambo (that specific performance) is a great place to listen to him ascend to levels of music and guitar that seem powered by some forces that are beyond our normal reality - they don't even seem possible. But he was also a humble, kind, beloved human being, so down to Earth and a hero to new guitar players for decades now and will be forever, as a player and a person.

I am so terribly sorry but Jimi Hendrix could have played circles around Stevie and he would be the first person to have told you that I saw Jimmy at the grande ballroom and there is no comparison Stevie was a masterful guitar player and he was able to copy Jimmy's style pretty accurately but he could never ever out play Jimi Hendrix Jimi Hendrix was a real force of nature
