Just a heads-up: Stray Kids are super experimental with their tracks, they try a lot of new things with their instrumentals, composition and even raps. It's not everyone's cup of tea, and compared to groups with more conventional sounds and textbook hip-hop rappers like BTS RM and Suga, SKZ might seem a bit weird. Changbin especially has some unique and experimental flows and cadences (TA, Easy, District 9), while Jisung is a more archetypical rapper with super versatile deliviers and cadences (We Go, District 9, Mirror, Boxer). Bangchan is primarily a singer, but also raps. Hyujin and Felix (and occasionally Lee Know, who's also mainly sings) are predominantly dancers who also rap. Chan and Felix are also Australian.

i’m so glad you appreciated han’s verse so much. sometimes even stays consider changbin to be the best rapper but, honestly, i feel like their abilities are on the same level, simply two completely different styles and then obviously preferences come into play. also, han is able to freestyle on the spot (which is not common at all in the kpop industry), when he was a trainee and was asked to write his verses and then rap them during their monthly evaluations he freestyled them cause he wasn’t able to write them in advance and he generally can’t remember the lyrics he writes for shit so he just used to go with the flow lmao

One of the coolest things about Changbin and Han is how they’ve seemingly mastered rapping together just as much as they’ve mastered their individual skills. They often go back to back, in unison, or ping pong off one another, especially in live performances which is way more technical than just recording that way. They seem to know eachothers rapping as well as they know their own and are really good at matching styles. Watching them together is very fun, definitely know how to play off another well. Very unique on their own and have different strengths and they were like you know what would be cool.. combining it🤯 Seeing their individuality in some songs but seeing them intentionally go together in others is fun to explore. They’ve said they have a lot of trust in eachother and each other’s skills, even in things that are hard for them technically, which is why they’re able to team up well and have no doubts. Helps that they’ve been making music together since they were 16&17. Hope to see more SKZ on this channel

Loll the ending was not apart of the song😂, but it’s okay. Usually when it comes to lyrics videos for k-pop song, the creator will put a random non-related song at the end of the video to avoid copyright. I highly suggest reacting to “We Go” or “HeyDay” by 3RACHA, and to get a feel of all members together, I highly suggest either “Easy” or “The Tortoise and the Hare”

Literally! No like when I first started listening to straykids it was like a domino effect (haha) anyway like I first heard Felix’s voice and was like “who are they I must know!” And then I heard Changbin’s rapping and was trapped. Then the more I listened the more I heard each member and fell for all of their rapping and singing styles.

Yay! I’m so happy to find reactors that love Hans rapping as much as I do. Usually changbin gets most of the attention for his rapping but their styles are so different that I think it all comes down to preference. As much as changbin’s lyrical genius and flow amazes me, I prefer jisung’s smoother, higher tone of voice to the sharp, gritty, and aggressive tone that most people love from changbin. And obviously Han amazes me with his lyrical genius and flows as well. Especially the fast ones. And wait until you find out he can sing amazingly as well! Can’t wait to see more stray kids reactions from you!

Changbin is outstanding, it just might take a few songs to fully appreciate his genius as the verses tend to be short. Mirror Mirror (by Milli, F.Hero and Changbin) made me a full believer in Changbin's supremacy, once you watch it (which you definitely should) keep in mind that his verse was a one take. For a full group song I would suggest Tortoise and the Hare . The song is not for everyone, but for those who understand it, it's a masterpiece and I'm really curious what you'd think about it. Out of 3Racha songs check We Go and Heyday🙏

"tortoise and the hare" is a very experimental sounding rap songs, but hopefully you will like it. usually songs for the whole group are written by 3racha, but "muddy water" is a unit song, and the lyrics for unit songs is written always by the unit members. since Felix is Australian, who started to properly learn korean at the age of 16, there is no wonder he preferred to write his part in English :)

I recommend you The tortoise and the hare. There are two versions of it, one is shorter and was included on one album. I personally recommend you the videdo with the lyrics (it's the longer version). It was one of the most criticized song, and received lot of hate because it's not a commercial track, they said that it's an experimental song. Personally I find it interesting because they play intentionally with the beat and the rythm and tells the story very well.

A good song to start out with when learning about skz is Thunderous. It literally traps almost everyone into becoming a fan 😂 for rap songs I highly recommend just searching up 3RACHA as they have a lot of unreleased songs only on KZbin or coproduced/wrote with other artists (Heyday and Just Breath) along with full skz group rap songs like “Tortoise and the Hair” “All In” and “Fam”. Honestly the list of songs that I would recommend could go on forever. I don’t know any skz song that I would willingly skip so imma just leave you with these 😂

Stray Kids know who Muddy Waters is, they are big fans of the blues, jazz, and many genre of music. Felix is the one who suggested to use the intro the way they did. He wrote this along with the other three. Felix listens to all forms and loves it when STAY gives him music suggestions to listen to.

While I don't know enough about rap to have much of an opinion on it, I've always found it strange that Changbin is almost always referred to as the best rapper in the group by international Stays when Jisung's strengths lie in his rhyme scheme and lyrics. Anyone not fluent in Korean can't fully appreciate these skills of Han, so how can they say Changbin is a better rapper? Anyway, I appreciate the Han love here lol. It always bothers me that people just seem to accept Changbin as the best rapper.

Praising Changbin as the best rapper doesnt undermine Han's genius. Coz Han has a title of his own. An ALL ROUNDER ACE. That's like saying he's the best at everything he does, and it's not limited to rap. And it's not about "accepting" Changbin as the best rapper, which is a little off putting way to question those of us who praise Changbin as the best rapper.

Folks have their preference, and that's fine, but I think it's pretty commonplace for Changbin to be touted as the better rapper because more people prefer his delivery, and people that aren't qualified to judge "accept" the narrative of Changbin as the better rapper, even though it's more a question of preference.
