Oh YES ! One of my favorite Commodores songs. The words to this song are so Zen so deep. This song was played a friends funeral and so fitting as a send off. Lionel Ritchie and the Commodores were such a talented group. Writing, singing, playing their instrumentals, arranging and producing. My goodness! Most artists and groups today don't even have one quarter of the talent of these old groups.

My older sister dated one of the Commodores( no not Lionel) when they were starting out & all in college & band. Their relationship started to get serious and our dad forbid her from seeing him. Why? Cause he wouldn't be able to support her as "musician" This the nice version of what Daddy said. Imagine our dad's face and colorful language when we showed him the spread in Ebony mag of the Commodores with the guy in his at home studio while we played one of daddy's favorite songs at the time "Brick house" LOL!

@@Glammazonsyn Lionel Ritchie has had 8 number one hits in his career, which is tied for the lead for the most in history by a solo artist. Babyface has had 2. Babyface has had 8 in the top 10. Lionel, 13. Babyface has had 12 in the top 100. Ritchie, 20. Ritchie's "Hello" and "Three Times A Lady" alone have been covered by more people than all of Babyface's songs combined.
