Sadly Dolores O’Riordan passed in 2018. Such a unique voice with a lot to say. Cranberries were a welcome sound during the era of grunge.

I had bought tickets to watch them live. A month prior to the concert I was notified it was cancelled and my tickets were refunded. A month after that, the news of Dolores passing was announced. RIP legend.

The Cranberries are one of my all time favorite bands! I'm so glad you found them! The drummer makes this song for me- he sounds like a machine gun. You can hear the anger and sadness- the grief. Delores O'Riordan was incredibly gifted. No one else has ever sung like her. You should hear her sing Ave Maria- it's amazing. Other songs to check out: No Need To Argue Salvation Free to Decide Dreams Linger Ode to My Family When You're Gone Daffodil Lament Pretty much anything from their albums No Need To Argue, To The Faithful Departed, Everbody Else is Doing it, Why Can't We? Delores died way too young at 46, but she left a body of work in that short time that few people can boast about. She was lovely. You either instantly love her voice, or you don't. That's the Cranberries for you. ♥️

I'm not fond of female singers. Dolores was a beautiful person with a uniquely stunning voice. You can hear her Irish roots, and I think that's what you were noticing that makes her voice so special. She even yodels in her songs. The Cranberries have such a wide selection of great songs on several albums. All bangers so please, Stax, do another reaction to any of their hits. Dreams is a great one to maybe start with to hear her range and a taste of that yodeling. Such a sweet feminine voice! 🖤🤘
