Late to the Party. Long ago 1967, '68. In Seattle WA. saw them at Eagles Auditorium. They blew everyone's minds, those on LSD the most. Heavenly music, unreal Rock music. The concert ended, we cheered and screamed more, and more. Well, the lead singer answered, he said they didn't have more music. Then he said no one had ever cheered them or wanted more. But he then said the Band would replay their music again. They did.

I just found you today, so I don’t know what kind of channel you have, but I recommend you listen to the whole album from beginning to end. The Moody Blues were one of, if not the 1st band to create what is known as a concept album, where all the songs fit together & should be heard in the order they are presented on the record. This one starts in the Morning, goes thru the Afternoon, & into Evening. It’s really a whole experience! Have the lyrics nearby if you do listen to the entire album since English isn’t your 1st language, that’ll help get the meaning of the songs across. 👍👍😄

Hiya, I'm a 77year old man who has followed the Moody Blues since I bought their first release 7single (Go now). Subsequently I bought every vinyl released here in Rep of SouthAfrica. As a fun listen, you should listen closely to their song Nice to be here ... The MB often link their lyrics and album covers to the records. (Eg ... Frog plays a guitar ... Rabbit drums on a tin ... Lark sings etc. The album cover is. Every Good Boy Deserves Fun .. EGBDF relate to the notes on a piano ! Listen carefully to their music, and study their covers. I still listen to my vinyls and will leave them to someone when I pass on. Please enjoy the Moody's because there will never be another like then. FYI... I share the singer's surname but unfortunately that's all😢 Keep well.

You definitely go on a trip on this song whether you're on A real one or a manufactured one or just in a natural high day within that perfect beauty of nature. Total love at the end. You do realize the more embarrassing, or the more love and expression that you show that is honest is what the whole reaction thing is about, and you were perfect. You need to try another artist that will mind blow you if that's not too offensive. Dimash. Olympico and Stranger and Ave Maria and Sinful Passion. He really is the GOAT. I'm not kidding around and if you start on SOS. Like many have and blown their minds then you can experience yourself, THE GOAT. Us Dears are his followers. He becomes addicting quickly. Fyi. You'll see why he's the greatest of all time, but your own ears have to know that first before your brain can process yourself that truth. There's 2 versions of SOS. Ones from a Chinese voice competition a long time ago. The more current one is during COVID. They're both excellent but they're all actually great and they all blow the mind. 😮😂😊❤

Thanks for that, but I always feel the performance is incomplete without the Late Lament which it merges into at the end of the album' "Late Lament" Breathe deep the gathering gloom, Watch lights fade from every room. Bedsitter people look back and lament, Another day's useless energy spent. Impassioned lovers wrestle as one, Lonely man cries for love and has none. New mother picks up and suckles her son, Senior citizens wish they were young. Cold hearted orb that rules the night, Removes the colours from our sight. Red is grey and yellow white. But we decide which is right. And which is an illusion? kzbin.info/www/bejne/bXupgp-VhLWinLc&start_radio=1

The album this song graces is an amazing concept album and most people who hear this song don’t get to hear the closing moment of this song and the album called the Late Lament. There are some bands who put out an album and there’s 12 random songs that don’t mean anything to the next song. But groups like Moody Blues and Pink Floyd release albums that are a single story and each song is a page of that story. That’s why I always tell reactors you either need to do the entire album as one reaction or do each song consecutively otherwise you don’t understand what page this song represents. One does not listen to Moody Blues or Pink Floyd one EXPERIENCES Moody Blues or Pink Floyd.

I've always wondered what the "girl" a 19 year-old Justin wrote this song for--after she dumped him--feels whenever she hears this song. Maybe, it makes her sad. I hope it makes her happy. Justin wrote the song about a girlfriend he had who really loved him and gave him a set of white satin sheets as a gift and he could not fully pledge his love to her because it was so early in his career and he couldn't settle down with her at the time. he wrote letters that he could never send. The album has orchestra throughout the album Days of Future Past and goes thru a day in a persons life relating it to a lifetime lived and the beginning, middle of the day and of course Nights in White Satin as the twilight days of a life.

The album is “Days of Future Past”. It tells a story of what happens in one day… one 24 hour period. It starts out with the morning, lunch, the afternoon Hustle and Bustle of the afternoon, evening and finally “knight”. You need to listen to it all in one sitting because the whole album is one big piece telling one big story. It’s not very long, so there is plenty of time for you to listen to it in one sitting. RECORD AND REACT to the whole album. We’d love to see you enjoy all of it!!

@jeffyount68365 ай бұрын
The music like you is beautiful however, the lyrics are about his broken heart. This is really a very sad song. So his girlfriend gave him some white satin sheets as a gift then dumped him shorty after. The sheets didn't reach the end of the bed so hence "Nights in white satin never reaching the end". The very next line is "Letters I have written never meaning to send ". With 20 version sitting in the trash he never mails her a letter to try and get her back. The next sentence of his lyrics is a statement about how beautiful he finds her. Then comes the reason he doesnt send her a letter, "just what the truth is I can't say anymore ". He thought she loved him but, he just doesnt know now. "Gazing at people some hand in hand" he is saying watching people walking hand in hand (in love) just brings back the pain of his broken heart. How do we know this? just listen to the next line of his lyrics, "just what I'm going through you can't understand ". When he sings "I love you, oh how I love you" its sung with the deepest emotion he can express. I'm 70 now and everytime I hear this song I cry and wonder where she is, what is she doing I too have a broken heart. So he finishes his love to her by saying "what you want to be, you will be in the end". He's wishing her happiness. Go back and listen to it again you will cry even harder.
