I was born 1984 as well... in South Africa. I grew up on Bone. The first rap song I ever learnt in my life was Snoop - Lotty Dotty and then Bone Thugs -Crossroads. I could easily tell that Snoop was just rapping nursery rhymes. Bone was a bit of a challenge...that's why I crossed over. RESURRECTION IS STILL MY FAVE FROM ALL OF BTNH. 💀

Fun fact: Biggie thought they were a joke when he showed up and they were baked AF. They jumped in the booth and one-taked this track. Biggie was shook and took it home to re-write a new verse to keep up with Bone, it's why you ain't heard him wrap like this before, he kicked it into overdrive. They didn't hear his verse until the album released after his death.

Yo stax. You're Googling lyrics. Do you know how I learnt this. There was a thing called a cassette. You play, listen, stop, write down three words, rewing again, listen properly, write 5 words, stop, rewind until you write down the whole song yourself. That's how _we_ did it in the 90s young man. No shortcut. Imagine the effort! 😰

@SibusisoHlophe-dp5lqАй бұрын
@@0rionknight636 yes. RnB, country, mostly had lyrics on the sleeve. Those were songs that didn't really need lyrics... I remember when I bought The Eminem Show CD... and it had all the lyrics. That was the best surprise of my life.

“Shuddup Diddy.” Amen. Only tiny blight on a literal lyrical masterpiece. Everyone ate. Goddamn I’m glad I was alive when this dropped. 1992-1997 was the pinnacle 5 years of America I fear.

Bone thugs inspired Big to spit like that by the way. He definitely did his thing. That line about "so called beef with you know who" is about Pac, and it's essentially Biggie calling it bogus beef. Big knew the media was spinning it, but Pac wasn't so awake. Also, Big had to kick everyone out the studio so he could practice that flow without being embarrassed, and he bodied it. He was initially having trouble with it though because he wasn't used to it.

CRASH! Nicely done Stax machine. Whenever you do a Biggie track it forces me to recommend 'R.A. The Rugged Man'. Biggie famously said he was the only guy who could 'out-rap' him. He signed R.A. just before he died. Some R.A.The Rugged Man tracks: 'definition of a rap flow(bring up the lyrics)' 'people's champ' 'holla loo yuh' 'shoot me in the head'. I know you're gonna dig it! ❤❤🇬🇧🇬🇧❤ CRASH
